RESEARCH INTEREST
As the pioneers of carbon dots in Thailand, we currently focus on developing methodologies for the preparation of a range of carbon dots and other functional carbon-based materials. These carbon-based materials made in our laboratory have been used for a wide range of applications.
--Chemical sensor: We develop low-cost, practical chemical sensors for various fields: medical, environmental, and food/agriculture.
--Energy storage: We develop high-performance, low-cost energy storage devices, such as supercapacitors and batteries from renewable resources, especially biomasses and plastic wastes.
--Environment: One of the main focuses of our research is to design and develop materials that have impacts on the environment, such as waste utilization, environmental monitoring, etc.
--Photocatalysis: Composite materials are unique and interesting because the integrated structures and properties can have profound effects on the photocatalytic performance. We select and develop various composite materials as photocatalysts to study the degradation of several pollutants.
