PeekFrame helps you view larger image previews while working in Shopify admin. It processes supported thumbnails in your browser and stores your preferences locally.
PeekFrame does not operate an analytics backend, sell user data, or request Shopify API credentials.
PeekFrame inspects the current page location, rendered page structure, and displayed image metadata to identify supported thumbnails and display magnify buttons and image previews. This processing takes place locally in your browser.
Supported locations include order thumbnails, product lists, product media and variants, collections, inventory, and Content / Files. You can enable or disable supported locations in the extension settings.
PeekFrame does not collect customer or order records for a remote service, modify your store’s products or orders, or export preview canvas pixels.
PeekFrame uses browser extension local storage to save your preview size, enabled locations, and whether previews are enabled. Settings are saved when you select “Save changes.”
These preferences are not sent to a PeekFrame server. Uninstalling the extension removes its local settings under the browser’s extension storage behavior.
PeekFrame initially displays the already-loaded thumbnail. It may then request a higher-resolution version of the same image from a recognized Shopify image host, including cdn.shopify.com, supported Shopify CDN subdomains, and supported myshopify.com image URLs.
The requested URL identifies the image. The image host receives ordinary network information, including your IP address. PeekFrame’s image requests use a no-referrer policy. These requests are handled by the image service under its own privacy practices.
PeekFrame temporarily retains up to 16 image-loading entries in tab memory to support responsive previews. Closing the tab releases that memory. The browser may separately cache image responses according to its settings.
When you open PeekFrame, it checks the active tab and communicates locally with its page script. The extension may display the connection status, page category, extension version, and detected image counts.
These diagnostics are not transmitted to an external diagnostics service or stored as browsing history.
Selecting “Check / reconnect page” can inject PeekFrame’s bundled scripts into the active Shopify admin tab when needed.
PeekFrame uses the following permissions:
Storage: Saves your preferences locally in the browser.
Active tab: Supports the current-tab connection check when you open the extension.
Scripting: Supports your explicit “Check / reconnect page” action using scripts packaged with the extension.
Access to admin.shopify.com: Allows the extension to identify supported thumbnails and display image preview controls in Shopify admin.
PeekFrame does not include an advertising SDK or operate an analytics backend. It does not sell user data or load remotely hosted executable code. Higher-resolution images are image assets, not executable code.
The extension does not ask you to provide Shopify API tokens, passwords, or payment details.
If you contact support, your email address, message, and any attachments are received through the support email provider and used to respond to your enquiry and troubleshoot issues.
Please do not send passwords, verification codes, store access tokens, customer records, or other sensitive information. Remove private information from screenshots before sending them.
You may request deletion of your support correspondence using the contact address below, subject to any retention required by applicable law.
Shopify image services process image requests under their own policies. Google separately handles Chrome Web Store accounts, installation, and review processes under Google’s policies.
This policy page is hosted on Google Sites. Google may process ordinary website request information and use platform cookies according to its own policies. No PeekFrame analytics or tracking scripts have been added to this policy content.
You can disable previews globally, disable individual locations, change preview size, or uninstall PeekFrame.
Changes made in the settings panel take effect when you select “Save changes.”
This policy may be updated when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The effective date and applicable version will be updated to reflect those changes.
