About Dr. Pedro Sebastião Teta

Dr. Pedro Sebastião Teta is an Angolan engineer, university professor, consultant, entrepreneur, politician, and public administrator with extensive experience in science, technology, and national development. Born in Nzeto, Angola, he completed his higher education at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, where he obtained bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Computer and Control Engineering. Throughout his professional journey, he has been actively involved in leadership roles within government, academia, and public institutions. His career reflects a strong focus on science, technology, education, and the modernization of national systems through knowledge and innovation. Dr. Pedro Sebastião Teta  has served in senior government positions, including Vice Minister for Science and Technology, Vice Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, and Secretary of State for Information Technology. In these roles, Pedro Sebastião Teta  contributed to the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at strengthening Angola’s technology and innovation landscape, as well as supporting broader national development objectives. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Fundo Soberano de Angola (FSDEA), where he contributes to strategic leadership and institutional responsibilities. Alongside his public service, he is a Full Professor at Agostinho Neto University, where he is engaged in academic teaching and knowledge development.
