Hi there!
I’m a tenured lecturer (assistant professor) in corporate and banking law at the University of Leeds and a research fellow at NYU Law.
My research sits at the intersection of finance, regulation, and politics. It explores how rules shape (and sometimes misshape) the financial world. Right now, I’m interested in:
The politics of banking supervision (Whom and how are rules shaped and enforced?)
Crypto’s legal gray zones (Can decentralized finance tame itself?)
AI, tech, and regulation (How do we govern what we don’t fully understand?)
My CV | Published work: Google Scholar, SSRN.
My Twitter and LinkedIn
My Substack (Boring; where I break down academic papers into something more entertaining)
Any ideas, questions, or just want to debate banking law over coffee?
