I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Commercial, Corporate, and Banking Law at the University of Leeds and a Research Fellow at the Classical Liberal Institute at NYU School of Law.
My research sits at the intersection of finance, regulation, and political economy. I study how legal rules and supervisory institutions shape financial markets, and how those institutions respond to innovation, uncertainty, and political constraints.
Current research interests include:
The political economy of banking supervision, including rulemaking, enforcement, and supervisory inaction.
The law & economics of cryptoassets and decentralized finance, including regulatory perimeters and governance mechanisms.
Artificial intelligence and financial regulation, including transparency, accountability, and model-risk governance.
