App stops counting steps?
Please make sure the notification is not turned off for the app. Go to phone Settings/Apps & notifications/Pedometer, Weight Tracker, BMI and More (this app)/Notifications. Make sure Step Counter is ON.
Counting accuracy and suggestion?
The app uses the phone's built-in step counter sensor to detect the movement. If you shake the phone, it will count it as steps. In most of cases it's very accurate. Google and all android apps use the same mechanism to count the steps. In such a situation you don't want to count the steps, you can click Pause button to pause it. Later you tap the same button to resume the step counting.
How to calculate Calories and Distance?
The distance is calculated based on your height and steps counted. Calories are based on the distance you walk and your weight. Please enter your current height and weight to get the accurate reading for calories and distance.
How to estimate Active Time?
The Active Time is based on the steps and built-in sensor active time. The time is estimated and give you an idea how much time you are in a movement.
Data Privacy?
Your data is private and only you can access it. This app doesn't require you set up login. All data save and back up in the phone. You can go to app Settings/Google Drive and connect to your personal cloud to backup your data. This is recommended in case you need to change to a new device or reset your phone for repair.
Data Backup?
The data backs up in the phone each day at 0:00 am automatically. The file name is the in the format yyyy-mm-dd.db such as 2020-01-31.db. The backup db file 2020-01-31.db has all the data you see in 2020-01-30. The backup file will not be removed even after you uninstall the app. When you uninstall the app and re-install the app, you go to app Settings/Backup. Click Restore Data button. Select the latest backup db file. You restore all your data.
