This multimedia project is a snapshot of north Portland as seen through the eyes of a pedestrian. When we take the time to observe the little things, ordinary life becomes a symphony of sights, sounds, and perspectives.
Far from dull, this pedestrian snapshot celebrates creative compulsions of everyday folx who happen to have their feet on the ground. Nature, art, urban design, community, and curiosity work together to create the everyday human experience in this small corner of the Pacific Northwest.
This map represents the area of focus for this multimedia snapshot. It loosely follows the #4 TriMet bus route and surrounding area.
An actual map of this route can be found on trimet.org. For those who would like to explore this area but aren't able to do so on foot can utilize Portland's (usually) reliable transit system.
Each pin in the map is represented with a corresponding page which can be accessed on the left of the screen.
Explore & enjoy.
Look Down
Indoors, outdoors, down the street.
A beautiful world beneath your feet.
Endless types of textures, details, and true artistry.
Gravity grounding the person who wishes to be free.
Travel through time down the sidewalk; go with the flow.
Gratitude to the thing that unites us all, the ground that's below.
