Down a steep hill, past an old junk yard, across industrial train tracks, through crunchy gravel, across the street from an artist collective, under an overpass, is a skate park.
This skate park was created by people who needed a safe place to skate.
Safe from the law. Safe from cars. Safe from haters. They banded together, got a bunch of concrete, and created the thing their community was missing.
Welcome to the skate park.
