Post-synthetic modulation of UiO-66-NH2 with a cobaloxime catalyst for efficient hydrogen production.
A molecular catalyst was strategically embedded on a metal organic framework (MOF). This molecular catalyst-MOF assembly provides a robust template for electrocatalytic and photocatalytic H2 production in aqueous solution under practical conditions.
Showcasing research from Professor Ujjwal Pal’s laboratory, Department of Energy and Environmental Engineering, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, India.
Surface engineering of a 2D CuFe-LDH/MoS2 photocatalyst for improved hydrogen generation.
We have showcased the synthesis of S-type heterojunctions in CuFe-LDH/MoS2 composites with 2D/2D architectures through hydrothermal processes, with significantly enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production performance.
Illuminating on a small molecule sensitizer, benzo[d]pyrrolo[2,1-b]thiazole-3-carbonitrile in combination with a TiO2 photocatalyst for hydrogen generation from water. This research serves as a valuable augmentation to the evolving domain of solar energy conversion.
The precise grafting of a Ru single atom onto porous carbon–nitrogen framework/ZnO provides a rational guide to enhance both the photocatalytic hydrogen generation and CO2 to MeOH production, offering unique advantages over conventional nanoparticle-based photocatalysts

Defect-rich UiO-66@g-C3N4/Ni frameworks as efficient water splitting photocatalyst.
We have showcased the creation of defect-rich UiO-66@g-C3N4/Ni frameworks featuring heterojunction, greatly improved charge generation and separation, and thus significantly enhanced the photocatalytic activity and stability compared with the non-defect UiO-66 based hybrid photocatalyst.
