Your privacy comes first

Peapod does not require an account or sign-in. We do not ask for your name, phone number, email, or payment details.

Cart items, favorites, search filters, and app preferences stay on your device. The app does show advertisements through Google AdMob. This page explains what we store locally, what Google may collect for ads, and how you can control that.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Peapod is built to help you browse groceries, deals, categories, product details, and shopping tools — including search, filters, cart, favorites, offers, checkout, order tracking, and settings — with a smooth experience. We designed this app so you can use these features without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

Peapod is an independent grocery browsing experience. It is not affiliated with any third-party supermarket or grocery-delivery brand.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

Your name

Your phone number

Your email address

Your home or mailing address

Your date of birth

Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)

Photos, contacts, or camera data

Precise GPS location

Payment card numbers, banking credentials, or checkout identity data

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app. The Account screen shows sample profile text for demonstration only.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To support your shopping experience, Peapod stores the following locally on your device only:

Shopping cart items and quantities

Favorite / wishlist products

Search terms and filters you enter while using Search

App settings (such as notification and offer-alert toggles)

Demo checkout details shown in the app (sample address, delivery slot, and payment display)

Sample grocery catalog content, deals, and product photos shown in the app are packaged with the app. Your cart, favorites, searches, and preferences are not uploaded to our servers and are not linked to your identity as an app user. Data you manage in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.

4. Local, On-Device Processing

Peapod is designed for local processing. Core grocery features — including Home, Categories, Product Details, Search and filters, Cart, Favorites, Offers, Account, Settings, Checkout, Order Success, and Track Order — run on your device using locally managed state and preferences.

Your cart, favorites, search activity, and preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can browse the sample catalog without signing in.

An internet connection is required to load advertisements. Product images for the sample catalog are bundled with the app. Optional actions such as sending support email also use your device’s email app.

5. Data Display and Sharing

All products, deals, cart totals, and preference screens displayed in the app are read from on-device content and local app state. Delivery address, payment card, and tracking-map details shown in Checkout and Track Order are sample demonstration content, not live location or payment data collected from you.

If you share screenshots or information through your device’s standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, by email).

You are responsible for keeping any exported or shared information secure.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Peapod displays ads provided by Google AdMob, including banner ads on screens and interstitial (full-screen) ads when you move between pages.

Google, as an independent advertising partner, may collect or receive information such as:

Device advertising ID

IP address and general (non-precise) location derived from IP

Device type, operating system, and app version

Ad views, clicks, and approximate interaction data

This information is used by Google to show, measure, and improve ads. We do not sell your personal information. We do not send your cart, favorites, search terms, name, or payment details to AdMob.

You can limit ad personalization on Android:

Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

(wording may vary by device). You can also reset your advertising ID in the same Ads settings.

7. Third-Party Services

The only advertising SDK integrated in Peapod is Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Core grocery features still run on your device. The app does not send your cart, favorites, search terms, or preferences to our own servers or to other analytics/cloud account services.

When you use optional actions such as sending email to support, those actions are handled by the email app you choose — not by Peapod collecting additional personal data from you.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics product inside Peapod.

Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including interest-based advertising where allowed. We do not build our own personal shopping profile about you from your cart or search activity.

9. Network and Permissions

Peapod uses the Internet permission so advertisements can load. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may also use the Advertising ID when it is available on your device.

The app does not require contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise GPS location to use Home, Categories, Search, Cart, Favorites, Offers, Checkout, or Track Order.

There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app. Your locally stored cart, favorites, search activity, and preferences remain on your device during normal app use.

10. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your cart, favorites, search activity, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.

You can clear all locally stored app data at any time through your device settings.

11. Children’s Privacy

This app is intended as a grocery browsing and shopping utility. It is designed so that personal information is not required from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Product names, prices, deals, and delivery details in the sample catalog are for demonstration and information within the app experience.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:a

Settings → Apps → Peapod → Storage → Clear storage

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored cart items, favorite products, search activity, and app preferences from the app’s private storage area.

13. Shopping Experience Disclaimer

Peapod provides a sample grocery shopping experience. Product names, prices, promotions, coupons, delivery addresses, payment methods, and availability shown in the app may be fictional placeholders for demonstration. The app does not process real payments or complete live retail checkout.

Peapod is an independent application experience and is not affiliated with any third-party supermarket or grocery-delivery brand. Always verify real-world product, pricing, and store information independently when shopping in person.

14. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
