Girls Try- Outs

2 day tryouts (the tryouts will be January 11-12, 2024)

Each day, athletes will be given a number. This number is their identity! First cut & second cut rosters will be made using the numbers, not names. At tryouts, coaches will score each athlete using a performance rubric.

Some criteria on the performance rubric may include:

Girls tryouts typically bring in about 60 athletes, and the goal is to have a team of 22. Day 1 of tryouts is more about assessing the foundational skills. Expect to run about 2 laps around the track, demonstrate footwork/ball control/ passing, shoots on goal, defending and dribbling, and end with small sided scrimmages. Day 2 will include creating plays & running drills, speed dribbling and footwork, and an 11 v. 11 scrimmage.

Boys Try- Outs

3 day tryouts (January 8-10, 2024

Due to the size of tryouts last year, we will be extending the process to better assess players.

Day 1- 6th & 7th grade

Day 2- 8th & goalies

Day 3- All grades call back

Each day, athletes will be given a number. This number is their identity! First cut & second cut rosters will be made using the numbers, not names. At tryouts, Coaches will score each athlete using a performance rubric.

Some criteria on the performance rubric may include:

Boys tryouts typically bring in about 90 athletes, and the goal is to have a team of 20-22 with a potential manager.

***6th, 7th, and 8th graders ARE allowed to try out for soccer. We highly encourage all grade levels to tryout. Try outs are a great opportunity to gauge Peachtree's level of competitiveness, network with other athletes from Peachtree, witness soccer greatness, play at a highly competitive level, and, most importantly, see a try out format & play style for Peachtree soccer. Coaches remember faces and build connections that start at tryouts, not just during the season!!!
