Arc 2: Chapter 8

Lin Yuan was worried about Fu Cheng’s injury and obediently held him: “Ok, I won’t move. You rest for a bit.”

Fu Cheng continued with his act and said gratefully: “En, thank you.”

Actually, Fu Cheng didn’t feel completely satisfied just hugging Lin Yuan like this. He wanted to caress and explore the teenager unscrupulously. He didn’t know why he felt like this. Probably because when he saw that Lin Yuan was so obedient, he felt that Lin Yuan must feel really good to touch.

His hands were itchy, but he couldn’t mess around. He didn’t want to scare away the person in his arms.

After a long time, Lin Yuan’s legs became numb and he hesitantly asked: “Fu Cheng, how are you feeling? Is it a little better? My…… legs are numb and I can’t stand anymore.”

Fu Cheng didn’t hug enough, and he was a little dissatisfied inside, but he still said: “I feel a bit better, it doesn’t hurt that much now.”

Lin Yuan sighed with relief. It was good if it didn’t hurt. He broke away from Fu Cheng’s arms and said with a smile: “I’ll help you to sit on the sofa. Sitting should be more comfortable.”

Because Fu Cheng was hospitalized for a week, over this time, there was no one in the house, so the air was a little stuffy and dusty.

After Lin Yuan helped the teenager sit down, he quickly opened the window to circulate air through the room.

The doctor had said that it would take a month for Fu Cheng’s wound to help completely. Lin Yuan looked around the living room and wondered: “Fu Cheng, Fu Cheng~ Where’s your broom? I’ll help you clean. You need to rest now, so don’t move around.”

Lin Yuan was a young master and Fu Cheng wouldn’t let him do chores around his house. He beckoned the other party over, and Lin Yuan came over like a puppy and he naturally rubbed the other’s hair.

The touch from his fingertips was solid and real, and the Fu Cheng smiled and said lightly: “My injury isn’t that bad. I can still sweep the room.”

“But… you’re injured ah…” Lin Yuan lowered his head to look at Fu Cheng’s abdomen.

Although Fu Cheng looked fine now, Lin Yuan could still remember him bleeding out in the cold and dark alley under the heavy rain.

Fu Cheng savored this feeling of someone worrying about him, as if he was being cherished by someone. He was no longer a burden or dispensable.

He almost couldn’t control his emotions and almost reached out to hug Lin Yuan again.

But he didn't. He was afraid of scaring away the warm and clean person in front of him. He had to be gentle, like a beast retracting its claws and using its paw pad to softly touch the other party.

【Di! Congrats host, the villain’s blackening value has decreased to 90%.】

Lin Yuan was stunned by these two system prompts and his eyes shone.

Fu Cheng patted Lin Yuan’s shoulder: “I’m okay, this level of injury isn’t much, it’ll be fine quickly. What do you want to eat for lunch? I can’t cook anything right now, but I can order takeaway.”

He took out his phone and opened the takeaway app and handed it to Lin Yuan to let him choose.

Lin Yuan was fine with anything. He didn’t take the phone and just said: “Anything’s good, I’m not picky. Just order what you like.”

After he said so, he remembered that the doctor said Fu Cheng should avoid certain foods in this period of recuperation and he immediately reminded: “Order something light, the doctor said you can’t eat spicy food or seafood.”

Fu Cheng looked meaningfully at Lin Yuan and tried to recall if anyone else had said these kinds of words to him before.

It seemed that no one had ever said so.

When he pretended to be a degenerate and fought everyday, he was inevitably injured. But those two didn’t even show their faces after hearing he was hurt badly. They were happy on their own and had busy careers, how could they be willing to take a look at a mistake such as himself?

They just scolded him over the phone, saying that once he graduated high school, they wouldn’t care about him anymore. They already fulfilled their duties as parents by raising him for so long.

For the first time, Fu Cheng felt his heart swell and his eyes were a little sore. He leaned towards Lin Yuan such that they were shoulder to shoulder, and their legs pressed against each other. He absorbed the warmth from the other party.

“Ok.” Fu Cheng said slowly in a low voice. For once, Fu Cheng was obedient.

There were only ten days before school started, and Lin Yuan’s make-up classes had been paused while Fu Cheng was in the hospital. Hearing that Fu Cheng was discharged, Lin Yue didn’t want his family’s white cabbage to be so proactive and get itself stolen.

So at night, Lin Yue knocked on Lin Yuan’s door and earnestly told his little brother to start attending make-up classes again. Don’t run out every morning and only get home when it's dark.

Lin Yuan thought this was reasonable. Anyways, Fu Cheng’s blackening value had dropped to 88%, and the situation had eased a lot.

The next day, Lin Yuan went to Fu Cheng’s place as usual. During lunch, he mentioned to Fu Cheng that he couldn’t come tomorrow because he had to do make-up lessons at home.

When Fu Cheng heard this, his face became ugly for a moment, but then he instantly straightened out his expression. He didn’t want Lin Yuan to see his gloomy appearance.

Fu Cheng felt an indescribable anxiety and urgency.

He had gotten used to seeing Lin Yuan everyday. Even if Lin Yuan left at night, he was sure to see him the next morning.

Fu Cheng had not thought, and didn’t dare think that Lin Yuan would not come again tomorrow.

At this moment, irritability bubbled inside Fu Cheng and his heart surged with dark possessiveness. His desire to monopolize gave him a terrible but wonderful thought.

It was Lin Yuan who took the initiative to enter this house, can he hide him here?

Hide him for a lifetime, hide him until they become a pile of white bones.

It would be so good to end like this……

Fu Cheng’s dark eyes fell on Lin Yuan, but he quickly became hesitant.

If he did that, then wouldn’t he need to kill Lin Yuan so they could die together?

Not only was Fu Cheng reluctant to do so, but he wasn’t able to be cruel to Lin Yuan. In his script, having Lin Yuan was too unnatural and abrupt. Lin Yuan would affect the outcome of his plan, or maybe his plan would directly fail and everything he had done so far would be wasted.

What should he do?

Fu Cheng’s head hurt from thinking about this. He felt that he wasn’t in a hurry to figure out a solution about this now. Instead, he was more anxious about how he wouldn’t see Lin Yuan tomorrow.

After eating, Fu Cheng intentionally let Lin Yuan take a nap. Then he went into the bathroom and locked the door.

Looking at himself in the mirror, Fu Cheng began to practice how to look pitiful and arouse a man’s protective instinct. Before, Fu Cheng had practiced how to look like a gentle model student many times in front of this mirror. He had practiced over and over again so that no one could see any flaws.

Later, he started to practice how to look depressed and helpless.

But if he took off his mask, Fu Cheng felt like he was a cold rock. He didn’t feel anything under the battering of the rain and storm.

Fortunately, a bright flower bloomed next to the rock, and he finally saw a little bit of the world’s colors.

Lin Yuan snoozed until 3 o’clock. When he woke up, Fu Cheng was sitting at the table, his back facing towards him, writing something.

“Fu Cheng…?” Lin Yuan called with a slightly nasally sound, softer and sweeter than a marshmallow.

Fu Cheng looked behind him: “Awake? I ordered you a drink and it’s in the fridge. You can go drink it.”

Lin Yuan nodded obediently, rubbed his eyes, and got off the bed.

He took the cup of milk tea back into the room and sat next to Fu Cheng. While drinking, he watched Fu Cheng do test papers. They continued like this all the way until 6 o’clock, and even after Lin Yuan left, Fu Cheng was still doing test papers.

At eleven, Lin Yuan was affected to also do test papers. Fu Cheng sent him a WeChat message asking if he was going to bed, and right after Lin Yuan replied, he sent a video call request.

Lin Yuan looked at the teenager through the screen and smiled: “What’s wrong? Why’d you call?”

Fu Cheng lowered his head and his dark and thick eyelashes created lines of shadows across his face. On his paper white skin, the shadows were like ink marks, and looked very beautiful.

“Lin Yuan, let me show you something.”

Fu Cheng held up a few exam papers and showed Lin Yuan his scores, which were almost all full marks.

Lin Yuan couldn’t help praising: “Wow! Fu Cheng, you’re amazing! There are so many full marks.”

Fu Cheng had already heard countless words of praise about his scores since he was young, but this was the first time he flushed and felt happy.

His heart beat a little fast and he said nervously: “... Lin Yuan, this is last year’s college entrance exam paper. I solved them all today, and I knew how to do everything. I know that I can’t compare to your private teachers, but I will teach you with all of my heart, I promise. Can you…… keep coming to my house?”

Fu Cheng showed Lin Yuan the expression that he had practiced in the mirror: “I was the only one in this house before you came. Lin Yuan, I don’t want to be alone. Can you continue to accompany me?”

Lin Yuan didn’t expect that the domineering and evil teenager in the plot could look so weak and harmless, he even humbly asked himself to accompany him.

Lin Yuan felt adrenaline rush to his head and he was beguiled.

Lin Yuan whispered into the phone: “Ok, I can. I’ll tell my brother tomorrow.”

His smile was still clean and warm, and even though they were separated by half the city, it could still hit the softest part of Fu Cheng’s heart.

“Fu Cheng, I’ll accompany you. You won’t be alone anymore.”

Fu Cheng’s pupils dilated and heart almost broke out of his chest.

After a long time, in a soft voice, he made a blood oath: “Ok, you have to accompany me. Always stay with me.”
