Arc 6: Chapter 17
Although Yue didn’t think anything was wrong, he still listened to Lin Yuan obediently and changed back into his beast form. The size of the giant black serpent was so daunting that it instinctively struck fear into other beastmen’s hearts.
One of the robbers who was beaten to the ground noticed the slave mark on Yue’s forehead and supported his injured body and shouted bitterly: “He’s a slave! How dare a slave kill the males of our tribe, isn’t your tribe afraid of the Beast God’s divine punishment? If the high priest of the Beast God Temple knew about this, all of the beastmen in your tribe would be despised by the Temple!”
The Creek Forest Tribe who had just been celebrating over recovering their food and females quieted and began to panic. Facing the risk of being cast away by the Beast God Temple was no small matter.
The chief was conflicted. They already knew that Yue was set to regain his freedom during the next Beast God Festival, but at this point in time, he was still a slave. However… it was thanks to Yue that their tribe was easily able to take back their food and females. Without him, many of their own warriors would’ve likely died in this conflict.
Lin Yuan wasn’t surprised by this reaction. He raised his hand and ruffled his hair, revealing his delicate and handsome features. Then his eyes grew determined as if he had made up his mind.
Lin Yuan picked up the wooden sword he had dropped earlier when he ran to hug his husband, and brought the blade against the robber’s neck. He said icily: “Whether or not the Beast God will punish us is not up to you. It’s not even up to the Beast God Temple. What determines if the Temple finds out about this matter is up to me, do you know why?”
His smile grew innocently: “If I kill everyone in your tribe, then the Beast God Temple will never know.”
Lin Yuan wasn’t joking at all, and his murderous eyes sent a chill down everyone’s spine, as if winter had already arrived.
The robber couldn’t believe that a female could say such words. He shouted in horror: “You want to kill us all? Are you crazy? The Beast God will punish you all! The Beast God will definitely avenge us!!”
Although the chief was furious at these beastmen for stealing from his tribe, he never considered killing all of them. The chief turned to Lin Yuan and tried to speak, but the giant snake coiled protectively around the little female choked out his words.
Lin Yuan couldn’t care less about what the chief was thinking. In this world, his only responsibility was his lover, Yue, and he didn’t need to account for anyone else.
“You say the Beast God will punish us, but how come I don’t see any punishment? Come on, do you actually believe that the great Beast God would side with those who steal and plunder from other tribes?”
Lin Yuan’s posture showed his full confidence in his words: “The Beast God won’t punish us because we’re doing the right thing. That’s why in the end, only your tribe’s people will die, while we will continue to live well.”
After hearing this, the Creek Forest Tribe’s beastmen felt reassured. What Lin Yuan said always seemed like a calming pill, full of reason and logic.
But even if Lin Yuan could fool these robbers, they still couldn’t accept the death of their own people at the hands of a slave: “Even if we did something wrong, the Beast God would not allow a slave to kill an ordinary beastman! The Beast God will definitely kill this demon!”
Lin Yuan nodded meaningfully and said lightly: “Indeed, according to the rules of the Beast God Temple, slaves must be punished after killing ordinary beastmen. But if all of you turn into slaves… there should be no punishment for slaves killing slaves right?”
Slaves? Was this little female going to turn all of these beastmen into slaves?
“Are you going to turn the people of our tribe into your slaves?” The robbers couldn’t believe it.
Lin Yuan nodded again: “Yes, that’s right.” He looked at the chief and suggested: “Chief, let’s bring all of them back to our tribe and let Grandpa Priest give each of them a slave mark. After becoming slaves, Yue didn’t do anything wrong by killing them, right?”
The chief looked at Yue's beast form and felt bitter in his heart. He had no other choice, but if he thought positively, Yue’s strength was a good thing for the whole tribe.
“Ok, bring them all back to the tribe.”
On the way back, one half of the Creek Forest males walked at the front, followed by all of the females, followed by the rest of the males, and then finally the robbers were dragged behind them all.
Also, half the food was carried on the robbers’ shoulders, which was due punishment for stealing.
Yue walked at the very end of the group. With him breathing down their necks, this group of robbers didn’t dare make any funny movements at all.
Lin Yuan comfortably sat on top of Yue’s head and found the scenery to be very novel from this new height.
They walked for a day before finally getting back to the Creek Forest Tribe.
The chief recounted what Lin Yuan had said to the priest. The old beastman thought for a moment. After all of this time, the priest had labeled Lin Yuan as a trusted advisor on many matters that related to the Beast God. He nodded and said: “Do as Yuan said.”
Most of the kidnapped females were exhausted and couldn’t be bothered to cook, so they just casually grilled some meat.
On the other hand, Lin Yuan had spent the whole day riding a big snake, taking naps whenever he felt like it, and was feeling full of energy. He was very motivated to cook a big meal for his husband.
Soon, the robbers smelled the delicious fragrance in the air and salivated.
The group of beastmen guarding the robbers chewed their bland roasted meat and sighed with envy: “Yuan is amazing, how can the food he makes taste so good?”
“Yeah, if I’d known earlier, I would’ve courted him.”
“Yuan said he likes fair and pretty males. He’d never go for someone as rugged as you.”
The robbers never expected that this unfavored little female was actually so popular in the tribe. Didn’t they think Lin Yuan was dirty to be marked by a slave?
A beastman’s sharp ears heard their muttering and snapped loudly: “You’re the dirty ones! You don’t know that Yuan’s hot pot is the best food in the world. He even teaches other females how to barbecue delicious meat.”
“If Yuan and Yue ever broke up, I’d pursue him immediately.”
“Tch, if they really broke up, half the males in our tribe would be lining up to chase Yuan.”
The robbers were very confused, could anyone explain what hot pot was?
After a full dinner and bath, Lin Yuan just stepped into the cave when he was scooped up into Yue’s impatient embrace and kissed fiercely.
He was caught off guard for a moment, and then quickly wrapped his arms around Yue’s neck and kissed back passionately.
Yue’s fear and relief of regaining what he’d lost made him rough and intense. He laid his precious little female on the bed, and his calloused hands roamed wildly.
Lin Yuan felt as if his entire body was being captured by a beast, but he had no idea of resisting at all. Their lips and tongue were accompanied by ambiguous wet sounds, and Yue’s long fingers also stirred up moisture deep inside.
Breaking free from Yue’s aggressive kisses, Lin Yuan gasped weakly: “No… don’t use your fingers…”
Yue panted hoarsely: “...Okay.”
Before, Yue liked to let his little female kneel in front of him like how wild beasts did, enjoying the feeling of completely dominating his Sui Sui. But tonight, Yue held Lin Yuan in his arms the entire time, kissing his wet eyes, teary cheeks, and swollen lips.
The night gradually darkened to its thickest point, and then began to brighten.
With swollen eyes, Lin Yuan heard the sound of voices outside and said hoarsely: “Husband… is it morning?”
Yue buried his head in Lin Yuan’s neck with heavy breaths: “Probably. It doesn’t matter, let’s keep going.”
Lin Yuan felt as if he was reaching his limit, but Yue continued to work relentlessly. Seeing him so insecure, Lin Yuan really didn’t have the heart to stop him.
The sun sank once again, and Yue devotedly kissed the almost passed out Lin Yuan.
“We promised to die together… I want to die with you…”
