Our laboratory is fascinated by the structures adopted by proteins and polypeptides that are driven by a variety of non-covalent interactions between the amino acid side chains and the polypeptide backbone. We seek to understand and engineer these interactions into linear and cyclic polypeptides to modulate their bio-activity and in vivo pharmacology.
