We are a section led by Vanesa Fernández-Moreira within Gimeno's Group dedicated to the development of innovative complexes for therapeutic applications, with a particular emphasis on photodynamic therapy, chemotherapy, and theragnosis. Our main focus revolves around designing novel luminescent metallodrugs incorporating Ir(III), Pt(II), and Re(I) elements within easily derivable organic scaffolds. Our objective is to enhance cancer selectivity and drug efficiency.
