I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at California Polytechnic State University.

My research primarily focuses on SEC oversight and corporate lobbying activities, and I also study the implications of XBRL-formatted financial reports.

My teaching focuses on financial accounting, particularly in preparing students for the AICPA exams. I also incorporate XBRL-based financial statement analysis and generative AI tools to strengthen students’ analytical and critical thinking competencies.

Outside of academia, I enjoy listening to EDM and playing tennis.
