NSW Junior Rugby Structure
NSW Junior Rugby Union began existence back in 1957 and its mission over these many years has remained remarkably similar since inception - to steward and develop the game of Rugby Union across the state of New South Wales. Together with the member affiliates of Sydney Junior Rugby Union, NSW Country Rugby Union and NSW Schools Rugby Union we oversee and deliver the various club and schools competitions run each season, alongside the Representative Programs and pathways.
The three affiliate bodies are responsible for the running of their own regular season club and school competitions. From these competitions they will select Representative sides which will compete at various carnivals predominantly run by NSWJRU and NSWRU. These Representative games all make up the pathway to the NSW GEN BLUE team selections and from here to potential Australian sides.
