Time and Format of Classes

Our classes are held weekly on every Saturday between 11:00am—1:00pm (please see here for the location). The classes are in-person and their schedule follows the UT Dallas semester calendar. The classes have two parts:

From 11:00am—12:00pm teaching Farsi language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) in different levels, as noted below.
From 12:00pm—1:00pm Persian art, culture, geography, and history workshop. This part is generally conducted with the help of school staff and parents.

Level 1: Kindergarten Equivalent

This level includes students between 5-7 years old or those with no Farsi background. Students mainly learn Farsi visually, improving their vocabulary, and some basics of the Farsi alphabet. Listening and speaking skills of the students are improved too. The reference book for this class is the first half of "Perfect your Persian, Volume 1".

Level 2: Grade 1 Equivalent

This level includes students who have some basic understanding of Farsi. At this level, students will learn Farsi alphabet and can begin writing and reading words. The reference book for this class is the second half of "Perfect your Persian, Volume 1".

Level 3: Grade 2 Equivalent

At this level, students will learn how to write and read sentences. Students will get fluent Farsi speaker and listener at this level. The reference book for this class is "Perfect your Persian, Volume 2".

Level 4: Advanced Literature and Adult learners

At this level, student who can fluently read and write Farsi will learn about about Persian literature and poetry. Moreover, second generation adults who like to learn Farsi are placed in this class. The textbook for this level is determined by the instructor depending on the student's status.

* The tuition for college students' children is $50 for each student.
