Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to PDF Scanner & Convert Document ("App," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our App. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App on Apple iOS devices and related services.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you disagree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.
This policy applies to the iOS version distributed via the Apple App Store. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions https://sites.google.com/view/pdfscanner-docscanner-scan-.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Depending on which features you use, the App may process:
- Camera and photos: When you capture, upload, or import images using the scanner or photo picker, we process those images on your device and may create files in formats such as PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and TXT when you save them after processing.
- PDF and document files: When you upload or open files (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT) for conversion, OCR, or editing, we process them to provide the requested service. Some processing may use our servers temporarily to complete the conversion.
- Text from OCR: Optical character recognition results extracted from images or documents.
- Contact data (optional): Business or visiting card fields (name, phone, email, etc.) only if you choose to save details to your iOS Contacts app.
- Passcode / lock data: If you use optional document protection, passcode data is stored locally on your device (not sent to our servers as plain text).
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device model, iOS version, app version, language, and general device settings.
- Crash and diagnostic data: Error and crash reports when the app fails (via Firebase Crashlytics).
- Network information: IP address, connection type, and API request logs needed to operate cloud conversion features.
- Push notification tokens: If you allow notifications, a device token is used to deliver messages (Firebase Cloud Messaging), as described in Section 4.
We do not collect precise GPS location. We may infer general region from IP address for service optimization.
2.3 iOS Permissions
The App requests Apple system permissions only when needed for features you use:
| Permission | Purpose |
| Camera | Scan documents, ID cards, passports, visiting cards, QR codes, and barcodes |
| Photo Library (read) | Import images and files from your library |
| Photo Library (add) | Save scanned or edited images to your library when you export |
| Contacts | Save visiting card / business card details when you choose “Save Contact” |
| Notifications | App updates, feature notices, and service messages (optional) |
| Local network / files | Open, save, and share documents via the iOS Files app and share sheet |
| Files / share sheet | Open, save, export, and share documents via the iOS Files app and share sheet |
You can revoke permissions anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security on your device. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide scanning, editing, OCR, conversion, merging, signing, QR/barcode tools, folder organization, sharing, printing, and optional passcode protection.
- Operate server-side conversion (e.g., PDF to Word/Excel/Text/PowerPoint) when you use those features.
- Improve performance, fix bugs, and analyze usage patterns.
- Send push notifications (if enabled).

- Respond to support requests.
