3. PERMISSIONS WE USE AND WHY
To function correctly, the App requires specific permissions. We only use these for the purposes stated below:
- MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All Files Access): Required on Android 11+ to allow you to locate, view, rename, and manage PDF documents stored on your device.
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required on older Android versions to access your documents.
- INTERNET: Required for downloading remote assets and for the operation of AdMob advertising and Firebase diagnostics.
4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Local Storage: All PDF document processing occurs locally on your device. We do not upload, store, or share your documents on any servers.
Security Measures: We use industry-standard libraries and secure third-party platforms (Google Cloud Infrastructure) to protect the diagnostic and ad-related data processed by our SDKs.
Malware Protection: We follow Google Play security guidelines to ensure the App is free from malware, spyware, and network misuse. No background data collection or covert network activity is performed.
5. CHILDRENS PRIVACY
Our App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions to remove such information immediately.
6. COOKIES AND TRACKING
The App does not use browser cookies. However, the third-party Advertising SDK (AdMob) may use mobile identifiers (technically similar to cookies) to store and track basic usage information to avoid repetitive ad delivery and measure ad effectiveness.

8. USER RIGHTS UNDER CCPA (CALIFORNIA USERS)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:
- Request Disclosure: Information on the categories of technical data collected.
- Opt-out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money. However, the use of advertising identifiers for personalized ads may be considered a sharing or sale under CCPA. You can opt-out by resetting your Advertising ID in your Google settings.
9. DO NOT TRACK (DNT) POLICY (CALOPPA)
The California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) requires us to disclose how we respond to Do Not Track signals. Since our App processes data via mobile IDs, we do not respond to DNT browser signals. However, we strictly follow Google's advertising policies regarding user choice.
