HypeHUB (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides PDF Reader & Scanner Offline (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses and processes documents, stores information locally, and uses advertising and technical service providers.
1. Privacy Summary
Your documents are processed on your device. The App does not automatically upload your PDFs, scans, selected images, ID card images, or QR code contents to our servers or advertising partners. No account or sign-in is required. We do not sell your document, image, or QR code contents.
The App is supported by advertising and uses third-party technical services. These services may collect and share device, advertising, usage, and diagnostic information. Local document processing does not mean that no data of any kind is collected or shared.
2. Local Documents and App Data
The App processes documents locally for PDF reading, scanning, image conversion, ID card PDF creation, PDF tools, and QR generation. It may store imported files, generated PDFs, exported images, recent-file references, favorites, QR history, and preferences such as language and theme on your device.
Local processing requires the App to read the files you choose. This does not give the developer remote access to their contents. You retain ownership of your documents. QR history can contain sensitive information, such as Wi-Fi credentials or contact details, so consider this before saving or sharing results.
3. Sharing, Printing, and External Links
When you choose to share a file or QR result, the App passes that content to the app or service you select. Printing passes your document to your selected Android print service. Those recipients may process or upload the information under their own privacy policies.
Opening an advertisement, QR link, store listing, or privacy website connects you to an external service. A cloud-storage provider selected through Android’s file picker may also use the internet. These user-directed actions are separate from the App’s local document processing.
4. Permissions and Access
Camera access is used when you initiate camera-based functions, including QR or barcode scanning. Document scanning may use a camera interface supplied by Google Play services. The App does not use the camera for background surveillance.
Files and photos are accessed through Android system pickers, the Storage Access Framework, files explicitly shared with the App, and the App’s own storage. The App does not request MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or broad photo-library access. Internet and network-state permissions support advertising and technical services. Advertising SDKs may use Android advertising identifier and advertising-service permissions. The App does not request location, contacts, or microphone permission; advertising providers may nevertheless infer approximate location from an IP address.
5. Advertising and Technical Providers
The App uses Yodo1 MAS for advertising mediation. Its integration includes Google Mobile Ads, AppLovin, Unity Ads, Unity LevelPlay/ironSource, Meta Audience Network, Liftoff/Vungle, InMobi, Mintegral, Pangle, BidMachine, Bigo, Moloco, Digital Turbine, and TopOn. Which providers operate for a particular user depends on configuration, region, consent, and availability.
Depending on the provider, these services may process IP addresses, approximate location, advertising identifiers, device and operating-system information, language and network information, app versions, ad impressions, clicks, interactions, performance measurements, diagnostics, and crash information. Some partners may process information about installed applications where permitted by Android. Providers may also use App Set ID or installation identifiers for technical purposes such as analytics and fraud prevention, subject to applicable platform restrictions.
Providers use and may share relevant information for advertising delivery and measurement, permitted personalization, analytics, service improvement, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance. Their recipients may include advertising, mediation, measurement, and technical service partners. We do not supply your document or QR contents to them. The App currently supports banner, interstitial, app-open, and native advertisements.
6. Consent and Advertising Choices
Where applicable, advertising services present age-related questions or privacy choices. The App uses the provider’s consent process; installing or using the App is not treated as blanket consent to every form of advertising processing. Processing may rely on consent or another applicable legal basis, depending on the provider, purpose, and jurisdiction.
Where available, advertising privacy choices in Settings allow you to revisit the supported consent form. Android and individual advertising providers may offer additional privacy, advertising-ID, and opt-out controls. Availability varies by device and region. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all technical data processing or prevent advertisements from appearing.
7. Google Play Services and ML Kit
The App uses Google Play services and ML Kit for supported scanning functions. ML Kit processes its image and recognition input and output on the device, separately from technical metrics.
These components may contact Google to download or update components, check compatibility, and report usage or diagnostic information, such as device/app details, feature events, processing performance, and error codes. Some functions require an initial download or compatible Google Play services. Offline-first does not mean every component works without internet access or Google services on every device.
8. Support, Retention, and Deletion
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you voluntarily provide. We use this information to respond, investigate issues, and handle privacy requests. Avoid sending sensitive files unless needed for your request. Support correspondence is retained as needed for those purposes and applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Local app information generally remains until deleted, cleared through Android settings, or removed during uninstallation, subject to Android storage behavior. Removing a recent-file entry does not necessarily delete its original file. Copies exported to Gallery, Downloads, another folder, or another service may remain after uninstallation and must be managed separately.
We do not operate user accounts or document cloud storage for this App. Advertising and technical providers apply their own retention and deletion practices. Clearing the App does not automatically delete information those providers already hold. Contact us about information we control; requests concerning provider-held information may also need to be submitted through that provider’s privacy channels.
9. Security
The App uses Android’s application storage, permissions, and controlled file-sharing mechanisms to limit access to local files. Protect your device with available security features and keep backups of important documents.
Local processing and transmission security are different matters. Advertising and technical services use their respective SDKs and security mechanisms; local processing is not a guarantee that every third-party communication is encrypted. We make no blanket claim of encryption across all integrated providers. No method of storage or transmission offers absolute security, and this statement does not limit obligations imposed by applicable law.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is a general-purpose productivity tool. It is not designed, marketed, or directed to children. Advertising providers may use age-related information and regional requirements to determine appropriate advertising and privacy treatment.
We do not intentionally request children’s documents or personal information for our own collection. If you believe a child’s personal information has been improperly processed through the App, contact us. We will investigate, address information within our control, and coordinate with relevant providers where necessary. Our intended audience does not remove applicable child-privacy obligations.
11. International Processing and Privacy Rights
Advertising and technical providers may process information outside your country of residence. Their policies describe applicable processing locations, transfer safeguards, legal bases, and privacy rights.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing as those terms are legally defined. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully performed beforehand. You may also contact your local privacy authority. Requests are handled according to applicable law and the information each organization controls; we cannot remotely retrieve or delete documents stored only on your device.
12. Updates and Contact
We may revise this policy when our practices, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised version will carry an updated date. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required; publication of an update does not itself replace any required consent.
