Privacy Policy for PdfPic
Effective Date: July 14, 2026
SyntaxLabs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the PdfPic mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect (and Don't Collect)
PdfPic is designed with a privacy-first, offline-first approach.
- No Remote Processing: We do not upload, store, or process your photos, images, or generated PDF documents on any remote servers. All image-to-PDF conversion happens locally on your device.
- No Personal Data Collection: We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, address, or phone number.
2. Device Permissions
To provide the core functionality of the App, we request certain device permissions. You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time:
- Storage / Photos / Media: We require this permission to allow you to select images from your gallery to convert into PDFs, and to save the generated PDF documents back to your device's local storage (e.g., your Downloads folder).
3. Third-Party Services
While we do not collect personal data, the App may use limited third-party services to function effectively:
- App Store APIs: The App periodically checks the Google Play Store (or Apple App Store) to see if a newer version of the App is available. This process may send anonymous, standard network request data (such as your device's IP address and the app's package name) to the respective store provider.
4. Data Security
Because your photos and documents never leave your device, they are as secure as the device itself. We recommend keeping your device protected with a PIN, password, or biometric lock to ensure your files remain private.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App does not intentionally collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Because the App operates entirely offline and does not collect data, it is safe for all ages.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
