This Privacy Policy describes how [Your Name / Company Name] (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PdfEditor mobile application (“App”).
By using PdfEditor, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
PdfEditor is a PDF viewing and editing toolkit for Android. The App is designed to process your documents on your device. We do not require an account to use the App, and the current version does not intentionally collect personal information for sale, advertising, or user profiling.
When you open, view, edit, convert, merge, split, share, or otherwise process a PDF, image, or related file:
You select the file using Android’s system file picker (Storage Access Framework).
The App accesses only the files you choose.
File content is processed locally on your device.
Temporary copies may be created in the App’s private cache so pages can be rendered and edited.
We do not upload your PDF or document contents to our servers as part of core App functionality in the current version.
To improve usability, the App may store limited information locally, including:
Recent files / history: file name, content URI or file reference, and last-opened time
App settings: such as theme preference (Light / Dark / System)
Temporary cache files: used for opening, rendering, editing, or sharing documents
This data stays on your device unless you choose to share a file with another app or service.
Based on the current App design, we do not collect:
Names, emails, phone numbers, or account credentials
Precise location
Contacts, call logs, or SMS
Advertising IDs for personalized ads
Analytics event streams to third-party analytics providers
Payment or financial information
The App currently does not declare internet permission for core features and does not include ads or analytics SDKs in the current build.
Locally stored and processed information is used only to:
Open, display, edit, organize, convert, protect, and share documents you select
Show recent files and history
Remember your preferences (for example, theme)
Enable save/share using Android system sharing features
Maintain App performance and reliability through temporary caching
PdfEditor uses Android’s Storage Access Framework so you can grant access to specific files or folders you select. The App does not require broad storage access to browse all files on your device.
Depending on how you use the App, Android may show system prompts for:
Selecting files (PDFs, images, or other supported inputs)
Persistable read access to recently opened files (so recent items can reopen)
Sharing files with other apps via Android’s share sheet / FileProvider
You control which files the App can access. You can revoke access through your device’s system settings.
We do not sell your personal information.
Your files are shared only when you choose to share them, for example by using the system Share action to send a PDF to email, messaging, cloud storage, or another app. In that case, the receiving app’s own privacy policy applies.
If you contact us for support and voluntarily provide information (such as an email address or screenshots), we use that information only to respond to your request.
Recent files, settings, and cache remain on your device until you clear App data, uninstall the App, or the App removes temporary files as part of normal operation.
Clearing App storage/cache or uninstalling PdfEditor removes locally stored App data.
We do not operate a cloud account database of your documents in the current version.
PdfEditor is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support channels, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App on your device, including using Android’s private app storage for cache/database/settings and limiting file access to user-selected documents.
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for deciding which documents you open, edit, or share.
The current version of PdfEditor is intended to work primarily on-device and does not integrate third-party advertising or analytics services.
If future versions add optional services (for example, cloud backup, crash reporting, or ads), this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what is collected and why.
If you use Android system features or third-party apps (email, Drive, messaging, etc.) to open or share files, those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
PdfEditor processes documents on your device. If you contact us, any information you send may be processed in the country where we operate support communications. By contacting us, you understand that such information may be transferred accordingly.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information. Because most App data is stored only on your device, you can typically exercise control by:
Choosing which files to open
Revoking file access in Android settings
Clearing App cache/data
Uninstalling the App
Contacting us to request deletion of any information you sent via email/support
If applicable law provides additional rights (access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection), contact us at the email below and we will respond as required.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in the App or on the listing page when appropriate.
