Privacy Policy — PDF 24
Your privacy comes first
No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by PDF 24 from you as an app user.
PDF files you open, process, and save, recent file history, and app preferences you manage are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
PDF 24 is built to help you read, create, edit, merge, split, compress, protect, and manage PDF documents with confidence. We designed this app so you can use PDF tools — including merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, password protection, image conversion, page extraction, and PDF information — without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:
Your name
Your phone number
Your email address
Your home or mailing address
Your date of birth
Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)
Photos, contacts, or camera data beyond files you explicitly choose
Precise GPS location
No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.
3. Information Stored On Your Device
To power your PDF workflow, PDF 24 stores the following locally on your device only (Room database, app storage, and DataStore preferences):
Recent files history (file name, path, size, page count, operation type, and timestamp)
Processed and exported PDFs saved to the app output folder
App settings (such as dark/light theme preference)
PDF metadata you view through the PDF Info tool (read from files on your device, not sent to us)
This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Documents you process remain data you choose to keep on your device — we do not receive them as personal user profile data.
4. Local, On-Device Processing
PDF 24 is designed for local processing. All core PDF features — including reading, merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, watermarking, password protection, image-to-PDF and PDF-to-image conversion, page extraction, deletion, and file management — are performed on your device.
Your PDF content is processed using on-device libraries and is not sent to our servers for conversion or storage. You can use the app without an internet connection for all PDF tools.
An internet connection is only needed if you choose to open external links (for example, from Contact Us or Rate Us options). The app does not require online accounts or cloud uploads to function.
5. PDF Export, Downloads, and Shared Content
When you export or save a processed PDF, the file is stored locally on your device (typically in the app’s dedicated output folder). If you share PDFs or images through your device’s standard share sheet, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, by email).
You are responsible for keeping any exported or shared documents secure.
6. Advertising
PDF 24 does not currently display advertisements and does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs such as Google AdMob.
If advertising is introduced in a future update, this policy will be revised to describe what data advertising partners may collect and how you can control personalized ads on your device.
7. Third-Party Services
Core PDF processing runs entirely on your device. The app does not send your documents to external conversion services.
When you use optional actions such as rating the app on the Play Store, sending email, or opening a web link, those actions are handled by the respective platform or app you choose — not by PDF 24 collecting additional data from you.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate analytics, cross-app tracking, or advertising SDKs within PDF 24.
We do not build personal profiles about you based on your PDF usage.
9. Network and Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
Read media/images — to let you pick images for Image to PDF and access PDFs you choose from storage
Storage access (where applicable on older Android versions) — to read and save files you select or generate
We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.
The app does not declare internet access for core PDF processing; your documents stay on your device during normal tool use.
10. Data Security
Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your recent files list, processed PDFs, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.
App preferences are stored using DataStore on your device. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.
11. Children's Privacy
This app is intended for anyone who needs to work with PDF documents, including students and professionals. It is designed as a document utility and does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:
Settings → Apps → PDF 24 → Storage → Clear storage
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored recent files history, app preferences, and output files stored in the app’s private storage area.
13. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
14. Contact Us
