Welcome to PDF Suite. This page explains how information is handled when you use the PDF Suite mobile application. The app is built to work on the device itself, so the amount of data involved is small, and the choices below stay with you.
PDF Suite does not ask you to register an account, and no personally identifying details are needed to use its functions. Two kinds of technical data may be involved:
Device Information: Technical basics such as the phone model, the Android version it runs, and the language in use. These details help keep the app working on a wide range of devices.
Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated counts of which tools get opened and how often. They are reviewed only to improve the app and its tools.
Every task — reading, merging, converting, splitting, or scanning — runs on your own device. Documents are not uploaded to us, and we do not read or keep their content on remote servers.
You may clear the app's data or remove the app whenever you wish; locally cached files go with it.
PDF Suite asks for permissions only where a feature needs them:
Storage Access: Lets you choose documents held on the device, change them, and save the results.
Camera: Requested only when you capture a page with the scan feature.
Foreground Service: Runs the document monitor that reports PDF files newly saved to the device.
Independent partners that support the app — advertising and analytics providers among them — may gather pseudonymous identifiers, advertising IDs included, under their own policies, in order to serve content and measure app performance. Your documents are not available to them.
Reasonable, industry-standard safeguards are applied to the limited data described above. Because the app keeps no identity records and no copy of your files on a server, exposure to your privacy is limited.
This page may be revised as our practices change or as the law requires. It is worth checking back from time to time. A revised policy takes effect as soon as it appears within the application.
