Last September, Microsoft resurrected the PowerToys project, and shortly thereafter users began demanding that an image resizer be included. The Microsoft PowerToys team and I got in contact, and we decided to move Image Resizer for Windows into the PowerToys project, thus restoring it to its rightful place.

If you are looking for a program resizer software, this utility is able to resize programs by identifying the window title of any currently running application. This software is not limited to just resizing browsers, unlike browser extensions. It has the capability to resize all programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge.

I always have 3 browser windows open and I prefer all of them to be the exact same size all over lapping each other spot on. Plus I greatly dislike having a ton of things running in the notification area. You can run this app, restore your windows then close the app.

I do not know if it was a coincidence, but right after installing SIZER my Windows interface totally malfunctioned - the start menu got transparent windows was not refreshing and I could not click anything. I had to disable transparency in Windows 10 to fix this. Did anyone have such an issue too?

Macros that move/resize windows to the top/bottom/edges/corners of the screen, for people that have a numeric keypad on their keyboard. The triggers keys are the eight keys around the "5" key on the numeric keypad. For when you don't have a numeric keypad, there are alternate trigger keys, grouped around a key on the home row. Trouble is, I use a Dvorak keyboard layout, so you'll have to change the alternate triggers.

I'm using Xfce 4.10 with xfwm4 as my window manager. I'm finding it difficult to resize windows by grabbing the border. The region where the mouse cursor changes to the "resize window" cursor seems to be only 1 or 2 pixels wide, and I keep moving right through it.

Or, just use Marco (window manager for Mate)You may have to install it using Synaptic or Software. (You may have to install Mate core and/or other dependencies. I actually like some of the Mate applications better, anyway. Just not the whole DE)Then, open terminal and typemarco --replace

Marco provides window shading on the edges! It DOES work with Xubuntu, been using it for months now. You might lose "roll up windows" (but should be able to simply double click on titlebar for this if you want it.)

Thanks for this useful tip. This works fine for most windows, however, the Office 365 applications apparently work in a different way. Can these window borders also be set to be less sensitive to mouse gestures?

Allows resizing, tiling, and snapping windows just by dragging them to the edges or corners of a screen--same as in modern versions of Windows apparently. Very useful and fast for mouse users. Tested and works in Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04, and 22.04.

As you can see, it uses the Super (Windows) key + the keypad keys. A lot of smaller laptops and keyboards, however, do not have the keypad on the right side of the keyboard, so I recommend you use the Alt + Windows + Letters shortcuts which I've used in "Put Windows" before. Also, I really hate the gaps all around the windows (like a lot--so much so that I woulnd't recommend this tool at all if I couldn't remove them), so I recommend you remove the gaps by changing "Gap Between Window and Workspace" to 0, and disabling "Gaps Between Windows".

Tested in Ubuntu 22.04 with both the X11 and Wayland window manager servers, and in Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 with X11. It works phenomenally-well in Ubuntu 22.04, with both the X and Wayland window manager servers, and easily snaps windows into corners or edges.

I've googled it and I can't seem to find an answer. Does anyone know how to turn off this awful (imo) new feature in Windows 11 where when you drag a window little grey boxes appear above it and if you release your mouse click in one of those it will resize and rearrange your windows automatically in the way shown on the grey boxes you selected? I accidentally do this all the time and I absolutely hate it. I can't even easily get my windows back to their default size, I have to try to guess and I'm OCD, it drives me crazy. Thank you.

I've had this same problem, just like Code E explained it. After I experimented with different combinations, I ended up with 1) leave "snap windows" enabled, and 2) disable all the snap windows options. Now my windows don't automatically resize anymore. I like the "show my snapped windows when I hover..." option, so I have that one enabled under snap windows options.

After downloading the free partition resizer, install and run it. Then, check out those steps on how to extend system partition or other partitions when there is no unallocated space on the hard drive. If there is non-contiguous unallocated space on the disk, you can skip Part 1.

In such a case, turn to a third-party free partition resizer can be an easy way to extend the partition. All you need to do is shrinking a partition with much free space and then enlarging system partition with the non-contiguous unallocated space after a shrunk partition. This tool can also help you to extend other partitions without losing data.

With this it will be possible to turn on the desired functionality (prevent resizing of windows while zooming in) using the specified key in the square brackets (e.g. F1 key here). The macro will stop once the space bar is pressed.

For sure fixing the window size will be great improvement of user experience. Moreover I would say that this option should be set for each window separately instead of a single setting for all windows within IJ session.

Hey there! That seems to be an unusual issue you have there, not being able to resize the windows on your Oculus headset. We would recommend to update your headset to the newest version 39.0.

V39 finally became available. Can resize windows again. The home environment teleport disappeared again although that had returned on V38 after the window resize stopped working.

The teleport feature seems to come and go so I expect it will return. Quest 2 64gb, V39.

There are plenty of reasons why you may need to resize your images but you always have to accept a loss of image quality when you do. The Microsoft Powertoys Image Resizer allows you to resize images in large batches and yet the loss of image quality is negligible. The interface offers you simple sizing options via a button menu. It also allows you to custom-size your images. It allows you to choose if you make your images smaller but not larger and it can create resized copies rather than tampering with the originals. Despite its very basic look it is a highly sophisticated image resizer.

My question:

I am missing the Restore button (the button between minimize and Close).

I already have updated, uninstalled and installed again. Non have solved the problem.

Currently I am on the latest versoin: 10.11.1

Each time I open Postman, the Postman Window is Maximized an covering all the beyond windows. I cannot move it to another screen, I cannot resize it and as shown in the picture, I do not have the Restore size button.

And it is even easier because it integrates itself if the windows menu, so when we right click any image file, the VSO Image resizer option will be available and we will only have to choose it from the context menu and the file we want will be modified with just one click. 006ab0faaa
