I currently have the Nokia xr20. I love it with the one problem being the fingerprint reader on the power button which is both annoying for its placement but often inaccurate. Spouse is considering getting the xr21 and I wanted to know if the print reader is any better on it?

@leonpi you can try and use some alligator forceps to straighten the pins out. If you can't straighten those or if they should break, you will have to replace the SIM card reader. That will of course involve some soldering.

hello, you just need to replace the sim card reader, you need soldering skills, but it's not a difficult work if you have experience. search on eBay "nokia (model ecc) sim card reader" and you will see what I'm talking about. You DONT need to replace motherboard, its incredibly stupid.

I have a lot of bad experience with MicroSD-Cards. They seem to be very sensitive. I have some, that are readable in a Navigon routing device. But not in my Thinkpad X40 internal card reader (with SD card to microSD adaptor).

These days webtoons and digital comics are getting more and more popular with people all around the world. Some platforms provide readers and artists with a way to express themselves also read interesting stories from all types of creators. overall an area to help artists get more known.

We all have seen the action scene that takes up the whole page. It brings interest to the story to be honest. I rather personally see a whole long panel then boxes. It keeps the reader's mind entertained.

Thanks to some leaks, Nokia's five-camera smartphone is no longer a mystery -- and it might just be one of the more intriguing handsets of 2019. Well-known leaker Evan Blass and MySmartPrice have posted stills and videos of the Android One phone, now called the Nokia 9 PureView (yes, the PureView revival is real), and it's evident that the spider-like rear cameras aren't the only trick up the device's sleeve. It'll have an under-the-display fingerprint reader, for one thing. It'll still use the 2018-era Snapdragon 845 for a processor instead of the 855, but you can expect 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, wireless charging and a 6-inch "2K" display with both HDR10 and a tall aspect ratio.

Nickus: "I plan to do a lot of accessibility things in the future, not only Nokia, not only Symbian and maybe not even only phones. I want to write about anything and everything to do with technology and whatever disabled people use on a daily basis. I'm in talks with the manufacturers of the different screen readers to compile documents outlining requirements for accessibility for third party developers. At the moment, a lot of the developers don't know anything about accessibility or screen readers, let alone how to make a app accessible."

The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet is a wireless Internet appliance from Nokia, originally announced at the LinuxWorld Summit in New York City on 25 May 2005.[1] It is designed for wireless Internet browsing and email functions and includes software such as Internet radio, an RSS news reader, ebook reader, image viewer and media players for selected types of media.

"We purchased the first six prototype machines for $50,000 each," says Gashel, who was in charge of the Washington DC office of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) at the time. The first commercially available reading machines cost $30,000 and were about the size of a washing machine. Over the next 20 years the size and cost of the technology continued to shrink, until by the year 2000 several software-only options were available for about $1,000. Users would pair the software with their own personal computer and one of many low-priced flatbed scanners, and read the output with a choice of screen readers and text-to-speech engines.

In the early 2000s, as digital cameras and handheld computing devices began to take off, Kurzweil envisioned a new opportunity. "We created the first KNFB Reader and ran it on a Windows CE PDA," Gashel recalls. "We were able to sell the combined software/hardware unit for about $3,500. Later, when Nokia introduced their model N82 with a 5-megapixel camera, we were able to offer the KNFB Reader Mobile at $1,695 for the software, plus about $300 for the phone itself and another $300 for the Talks or Mobile Speak screen reader. A year later we reduced the price of the Reader software to $995."

Double tapping anywhere in this screen area instructs the reader to snap a photo and automatically begin the OCR process. The recognized text usually begins self-voicing after only a second or two. But there's a lot that goes on in that brief time.

The File Explorer includes tabs to call up your list of Scanned Files, PDF Files, and Image Files. (More about these last two soon.) Swipe down to one of the file names and use the "Edit" button to rename or delete the file. You can also export as a plain text file, a formatted text HTML file, or a KNFB file, which is an archive file containing both the original image and a text file. I can see this last being extremely useful for saving store receipts, legal agreements, and other signed documents whose originals you wish to store electronically with a text copy you can read with your screen reader.

With the Nokia 9 still a ways away from launching, it's possible that the Galaxy Note 9, scheduled for an August reveal, could beat it to the punch with an in-screen fingerprint reader. There have been conflicting rumors on what Samsung is planning for the super-sized phone though, so perhaps not.

Turn on the Stripe Reader M2 by pressing and releasing the power button. The status LEDs turn on for 2 seconds and the reader beeps twice. The reader waits for a Bluetooth connection for five minutes before turning off.

When the reader connects to a device running your app, the status LEDs on top of the reader flash four times. After connecting, the first status light begins flashing at five second intervals. The reader stays connected to your iOS or Android device while in standby mode and automatically exits standby mode when you resume activity. 0852c4b9a8
