This Privacy Policy describes how PDF Library & Document Manager ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Overview

PDF Library & Document Manager is a personal document manager and reader. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

• The app can be used entirely offline for reading and organizing files — in that mode, your documents stay only on your device.

• Some optional features we may add over time (such as account sign-in, cloud backup, or device-to-device sync) may involve transmitting certain data. Any such feature will always be opt-in, and your consent will be requested before any data leaves your device.

• If we introduce advertising or paid features in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly before those features are enabled, and where required, your consent will be requested.

Information We Do NOT Collect

The app does not collect, read, or share the contents of your personal files. When you use the app to read, organize, or store documents:

• We do not collect or access your files (PDFs, images, documents, spreadsheets).

• We do not collect your name, email, or any account details (no account is required).

• We do not sell any of your personal information.

Information We May Collect (Optional Online Features)

If we introduce optional online features in the future (such as account sign-in, cloud sync, or backups), we may collect and process the following only after you explicitly enable and consent to those features:

• Account information: such as your email address and name, if you choose to create an account.

• Synced content: your library metadata, bookmarks, notes, and collections, if you opt in to cloud sync.

• Usage and diagnostics: anonymized technical data (e.g., device model, app version) to improve performance and reliability.

Any online feature will always be optional — you can continue using the app fully offline for reading and organizing files.

Files and Data You Store in the App

The files you add (PDFs, images, documents, spreadsheets) and any bookmarks, notes, and collections you create are stored on your device in local app storage.

• Offline mode: this data never leaves your device, unless you delete the app or manually remove files.

• If you opt into cloud sync: this data will be transmitted to and stored on secure servers so you can access it across your devices. You may disable sync at any time.

We treat your documents as confidential. We do not read, share, or use the content of your personal files except as necessary to provide the features you specifically enable.

Local Storage

When you use the app, we store the following locally on your device:

• Metadata about your imported files (file name, path, type, page count, dates)

• Your favorites, notes, collections, and view history

• App preferences (such as your chosen dark/light theme)

Some of this data may be uploaded only if you enable cloud sync, as described above.

Permissions We Use

To function properly, the app may request the following device permissions:

• Storage / Files access: Used to let you pick and open documents, PDFs, images, and spreadsheets stored on your device. No files are sent anywhere unless you opt into cloud sync.

• Internet access: Currently unused. We will not transmit any data. If optional online features are enabled in the future, internet access will be used only to support them, and only with your consent.

The "Open With" / Share Feature

When you open a file from another app using the app's "Open with" feature, the file is processed and stored locally on your device. No document data is transmitted externally unless you opt into cloud sync.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data: You can delete any file, note, or collection at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data.

• Cloud data (if you opt in): You may request deletion of your account and any associated stored data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, your data is removed from our servers.

Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate with, or send data to, any third-party analytics, advertising, or social networking services. If online features are introduced in the future, we may use reputable third-party service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, authentication) solely to provide those features, and they are contractually bound to protect your data.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data that may be processed in connection with optional online features. Because your documents remain on your device, we also recommend using your device's built-in security features (such as screen lock and encryption) to further protect stored files.

Your Rights

Where applicable (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data

• Withdraw consent for any optional data processing at any time

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
