Quick Start
1. Choose a PDF from Files, or share a compatible marked-up PDF to PDF Summary+.
2. Review Report Information. Use Project Presets to save and reuse project details for recurring work.
3. Expand Additional Header Information when your report needs Field Agent, weather, contractor, superintendent, copy, or other custom fields. Fields 1–3 always remain visible; optional fields can be turned on as needed.
4. Select the markup details to include, such as Subject, Page Labels, Spaces, Author, Status, Date or Date/Time, Comments, attachments, and page captures.
5. Choose Small, Medium, or Large thumbnails and select Minimal, Moderate, Substantial, or Extreme compression to balance clarity and file size.
6. Use Filter Markups to narrow the report by subject, page label, author, status, or date range.
7. Tap Create Report. PDF Summary+ displays progress and lets you cancel when necessary.
8. Preview the finished report. In Included Markups, jump directly to an item, uncheck anything you do not want, and regenerate with automatic renumbering.
9. Use Preview, Open/Share, or Save As as separate actions. When saving, choose whether to overwrite the existing file or keep both with an incremented name.
Free and Pro
PDF Summary+ Free creates reports containing up to five selected markups and adds a PDF Summary+ Free footer. PDF Summary+ Pro unlocks unlimited, watermark-free reporting. Use Restore Purchases if you previously purchased or unlocked Pro.
Preview and Included Markups
Tap an item in Included Markups to move directly to that markup in the report preview. Uncheck individual items and regenerate to omit them; the remaining markups are renumbered automatically. Completion statistics show markup, omission, page, image, file-size, and compression details.
Settings
Save a default author, choose a custom company logo, select Arial or another available font, adjust independent header and footer text sizes, rename all nine header-field labels, hide optional header fields, and import or export settings. Reset Report Defaults restores the original configuration.
Project Presets
Presets retain Report Information and Additional Header Information values. Use them for repeat visits or recurring projects, and edit or delete them as the project changes.
Privacy and Troubleshooting
Source PDFs, project information, presets, logos, settings, and generated reports are processed locally on your device. No account or internet connection is required for report creation.
If a PDF does not produce the expected report, confirm that its markup annotations were saved in the source file. Use Copy Diagnostic Information in the app’s Help & Support screen; diagnostics exclude project content, comments, images, and PDF contents. Attach the source or generated report manually only when needed.
