This Privacy Policy describes how we handles information when you use PDF Master (“the App”).
Please read this Policy before using the App.
1. About PDF Master
PDF Master is an Android document utility that allows users to:
- Find and read PDF documents;
- Scan paper documents;
- Convert images into PDF files;
- Merge multiple PDFs;
- Split PDF documents;
- Lock and unlock supported PDF files;
- Rename, organize, view, and share local documents.
Most document-related operations are performed directly on your device.
2. Documents and Files
When you use PDF Master, the App may access or process:
- PDF documents stored on your device;
- Images selected for PDF creation;
- Images captured using your camera;
- File names and storage locations;
- File sizes, dates, page counts, and document metadata;
- Passwords entered to protect or open supported PDF documents;
- Generated and edited PDF files.
This information is processed to complete the action you request.
We do not operate a cloud document-storage service. Your PDF contents, scanned pages, selected images, and document passwords are not uploaded to our servers.
3. Local Document Processing
PDF reading, scanning, conversion, merging, splitting, locking, and unlocking take place locally on your device.
Created or edited files are saved to the location selected by you or to an App-configured folder. Files remain on your device until you delete them.
Uninstalling PDF Master may not remove documents saved in Downloads, Documents, shared storage, an SD card, or another public folder.
You are responsible for protecting and backing up important documents.
4. All Files Access
On supported Android versions, PDF Master may request the All files access permission.
This permission supports the App’s core document-management feature by allowing it to:
- Discover PDFs in Downloads, Documents, and user-created folders;
- Display local PDF files in one searchable document library;
- Open existing PDF files;
- Rename and organize documents;
- Read file details;
- Select PDFs for merging or splitting;
- Lock or unlock supported files;
- Save processed documents to accessible storage locations;
- Share files selected by the user.
The permission is used only for user-facing PDF management. PDF Master does not use document contents for advertising or analytics.
The App is designed to locate and process supported document files rather than inspect unrelated personal content.
You can revoke All files access through Android settings. Automatic PDF discovery and some document-management features may not work after the permission is revoked.
5. Camera Permission
PDF Master requests camera access only when you choose to scan a document or capture an image.
The camera is not activated in the background. Captured images are processed locally to create PDF documents.
You can revoke camera permission through Android settings, but the scanning feature will no longer be available.
6. Photos and Media
The App may request access to selected photos or images when you use the Image to PDF feature.
Where supported, PDF Master may use the Android photo picker, allowing you to choose specific images.
Selected images are used only to create the requested PDF and are not uploaded to our servers.
7. Notifications and Document Processing
PDF Master may display notifications to:
- Show the progress of a document operation;
- Inform you when processing is complete;
- Report a failed or cancelled operation;
- Provide relevant App reminders.
Some longer document operations may continue while the App is in the background. When required, an ongoing notification makes the task visible and allows the system or user to stop it.
You can disable eligible notifications through Android settings.
8. Information Collected by Google AdMob
PDF Master uses Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process:
- IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address;
- Android Advertising ID;
- App Set ID and other device identifiers;
- Device manufacturer and model;
- Operating-system version and language;
- App name and version;
- App launches and interactions;
- Advertisement impressions, views, and clicks;
- Diagnostic and performance information;
- Information used to detect fraud, abuse, and invalid advertising traffic.
Google may use this information to deliver advertisements, measure their effectiveness, prevent fraud, maintain its services, and personalize advertising where permitted.
Google processes advertising information under its own policies:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google Uses Information from Apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Google Advertising Information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com/
PDF Master does not send PDF contents, file names, scans, selected images, or document passwords to Google AdMob.
9. Advertising Choices
Depending on your location, device settings, Google account settings, eligibility, and consent choices, AdMob may display personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertisements.
Personalized advertisements may be based on advertising identifiers, inferred interests, general location, or previous advertising interactions.
You can manage advertising choices by:
- Opening the privacy options available in the App;
- Visiting https://adssettings.google.com/;
- Resetting or deleting your Advertising ID through Android settings;
- Changing advertising settings in your Google account.
Disabling personalized advertising does not remove all advertisements.
Where required, users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown a consent or privacy-choice message. Eligible users can review, reject, or withdraw consent for personalized advertising.
10. How Information Is Used

We do not sell your PDF files, scans, images, or document passwords.
11. Sharing Documents
PDF Master allows you to share documents through other apps or services installed on your device.
A document is transferred only after you select it and initiate the sharing action. Once shared, the document is handled according to the recipient’s privacy practices.
We are not responsible for how another app, service, or person handles files that you choose to share.
12. When Information May Be Disclosed
Information may be disclosed:
- To Google AdMob for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention;
- When you intentionally share a document;
- When required by applicable law or legal process;
- When reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents;

13. Data Retention and Deletion
Local documents
PDF files, images, scans, and generated documents remain on your device until you delete them.
You can delete these files using PDF Master, your device’s file manager, or another compatible application.
Local App data
App preferences, cache, temporary files, and locally stored settings may be removed by:
- Using available deletion options in the App;
- Clearing PDF Master’s storage through Android settings;
- Uninstalling the App.
Files saved in shared storage may need to be deleted separately.
Advertising data
Advertising information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s own policies. We do not directly control data stored by Google.
Support communications
If you contact us, we may retain your email address, message, and voluntarily provided information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
Do not send confidential documents in support messages unless necessary.
14. User Accounts
PDF Master does not require or provide user-account registration.
We do not maintain an online document profile associated with you. Therefore, there is no PDF Master account requiring a separate account-deletion process.
If account functionality is introduced in the future, this Policy will be updated and appropriate account and data-deletion controls will be provided.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information handled through the App.
Local processing reduces unnecessary transmission of document contents. Google states that data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
No device or storage system is completely secure. You should protect access to your device, maintain backups, and use strong passwords for sensitive files.
PDF password protection cannot guarantee that a file will never be accessed through specialized recovery tools, software vulnerabilities, or weak passwords.
16. Children’s Privacy
PDF Master is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If you believe that a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us so that we can review and delete it where required.
17. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal information;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion;
- Restrict or object to processing;
- Withdraw consent;
- Request data portability;
- Opt out of eligible personalized advertising or data sharing;
- File a complaint with a data-protection authority.
Most document information remains locally on your device and can be accessed or deleted directly by you.
To exercise rights relating to information controlled by us, contact [Privacy Email Address]. For information controlled by Google, use Google’s privacy controls or contact Google directly.
18. International Processing
Google AdMob operates internationally. Advertising-related information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence.
Google is responsible for the safeguards it applies to information processed through its services, as described in Google’s privacy documentation.
Support communications may be processed in the country or region where the developer operates.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when App functionality, permissions, advertising services, data practices, or legal requirements change.
The latest version will be published at the same location with an updated “Last Updated” date.
Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
