1. Introduction
PDF Guru File Manager is an offline Android app that helps you find, view, share, move, and delete PDF files on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers.
2. Data We Collect
• No personal data is sent to us or stored on our servers.
• The app works primarily offline — no internet is required for core features.
• No ads, analytics, or tracking.
• PDF file contents never leave your device except when you choose to share them.
3. Storage Permission
The app requests "All files access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to scan PDF files on your device. This permission is used only for listing, viewing, deleting, moving, and sharing PDFs locally. We do not upload, sell, or share your files with third parties.
4. What Stays on Your Device
• PDF list and scan cache — saved on your phone
• Favorites — saved locally on your device
• Keyword Search — the PDF you pick is processed only on your phone
• Open with — PDFs opened from other apps are handled locally
5. Share Feature
When you share a PDF, the file is sent only through the app you choose (e.g. WhatsApp, Gmail, Telegram). Sharing happens only when you tap Share. The selected app's privacy policy applies to shared data.
6. Delete and Move
Deleted PDFs are permanently removed from your device and cannot be recovered by the app. A confirmation dialog is shown before deletion — from the list or from the PDF viewer. When you move a PDF, the file is relocated to the folder you choose on your device only.
7. PDF Sources
The app shows PDFs from your device by folder — All, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Favorites. This is a local scan only; no data is uploaded.
8. External Links
WhatsApp and Telegram channel links on the home screen open only when you tap them. Those services have their own privacy policies.
9. Children
This app is not directed at children under 13.
10. Third-Party Libraries
Local libraries used: pdfx (PDF viewing), permission_handler (permissions), share_plus (share when you tap Share), syncfusion_flutter_pdf (keyword search and export on device), path_provider (local cache). These libraries do not collect data on our behalf.
11. Data Security
All data stays on your phone. We do not operate any server.
12. Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will appear in the app or on the Play Store listing.
