The Advancement of Women Awards honor individuals for their work on behalf of women. Each year, PCSW recognizes a student, a lecturer, a tenured/tenure-track faculty member, a staff member and an administrator for their demonstrated commitment to the advancement of women.
The nominee's contributions can be in one or more of the following areas: instructional activities and achievements, scholarly and creative activities and achievements, campus service, advising and mentoring, and/or community service. Contributions that were made in other areas will also be considered.
Selected 2022 recipients will receive their awards at the End-of-Year Awards Ceremony, which will be held on campus this year on Friday, May 6th.
The President's Commission on the Status of Women also honors a community-based organization that has effectively collaborated with California State University Long Beach and has demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of women. Any member of the campus community and any community organization which partners with California State University, Long Beach may submit a nomination.
