Spirit players collected new toys for the Toys for Tots Program in fall 2021 to benefit the Vista Maria Children's Foster Program. located in the Detroit area. Players brought new toys that were donated to the program and enjoyed a Halloween themed game. Another great community service event by the players and families of the Spirit Fastpitch Organization!
In the Fall of 2020, players collected new and gently used equipment to benefit the Detroit PAL Softball Program. The Detroit PAL Softball Program was unable to operate in the Summer 2020 due to COVID-19 and each player requiring their own equipment. Spirit players collected helmets, bats, gloves, catcher equipment, and equipment bags for the PAL Softball Program. To celebrate this event, a Halloween themed game among the Spirit teams was held. Fun was had by all! Thank you to the generosity of the Spirit players and families, more girls will be playing softball this spring!
