For AISTATS 2022 and AISTATS 2023, I was recognized as a top reviewer! You can find me here and here; though it seems they stopped recognizing top reviewers more recently, see here.
I have been very fortunate to mentor graduate students, undergraduate students, and even participate in a high-school summer camp.
As a postdoctoral scholar at UIUC, I have been mentoring graduate students in the area of machine learning. I am passionate about letting my mentoring go beyond "giving technical feedback about the student's research", and so I am passionate about providing students with advice for a variety of problems to be found in one's personal life in academia and beyond.
I mentored a UCSB underrepresented undergraduate student for the California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) on the research topic of "Consensus and Opinion Dynamics".
I codirected a Computer Science Summer Camp for Santa Barbara High School, California, USA.
I gave multiple presentations to college students and high school students in Peru.
Despite the fact that English is the most used language in academia for a global audience, it is still a problem for many people to access new academic knowledge due to their low English proficiency. In response to this problem, if time allows, I will be happy to do Spanish translations of academic or educational texts for nonprofit uses. The only thing I ask for is to give me credit for the translation, so more people know they can have an equal chance of having a translation.
I was featured on the Center for Control, Dynamical Systems, and Computation website from the University of California, Santa Barbara, click here,
