Jams are a chance to play through dance tunes many many times and practice at a little faster tempo than the teaching sessions. We will put out a list of tunes that are likely to be played at the Jam if you want to practice up. (Other tunes from this site might also be played as well) Jams are for playing our common repertoire, not for playing that one hard tune that nobody knows. Tunes will be played by ear at these jams, so no need to pack your music stands!

Stay tuned for announcements from me about the January 4 Open Band that will be led by Betsy & George, along with Sue Songer and Bill Tomczak. Like last year, we will have some fun "horn" parts that Bill wrote (can be played by any melody instrument), and we'll be working with caller Noah Grunzweig to play the 2nd half of the "New Year's Eve" dance, not quite on NYE. We'll try to have a setlist by the beginning of November.
