Is Dress Rehearsal Required?

Yes, Dress Rehearsal is required for recital participation. Dancers who do not attend Dress Rehearsal will not be permitted to perform in the show unless prior permission has been granted.

There are very limited circumstances in which an absence may be excused. Please contact the studio in advance if you have any questions or need to request an exemption.

What is the purpose of Dress Rehearsal?

Dress Rehearsal gives dancers the opportunity to get comfortable with new surroundings, stage surfaces, and spacing in a new environment outside of the studio. While it’s not focused on perfecting the show order, this extra level of preparation helps ensure the cleanest performance possible and allows dancers to feel confident on stage!

How many shows will there be for recital?

There will be two shows this year for our recital. Blue Show is our first show at 11am, and our Purple Show is our second show at 2:00pm.

What am I supposed to do with my child between shows or on breaks?

PCDC has rented out the Mead High School cafeteria for 6/5 and 6/6- you are more than welcome to use this space to hang out, eat, and replenish! We just ask that you help us to keep this space clean for our team at Mead.

When will Tickets go on sale?

Tickets will be on sale starting Friday, May 15th at 9am. 

Each participating family will receive two complimentary tickets and codes will be sent the week of ticket sales!

Can I pick my child up from recital when they're done performing?

For safety reasons, dancers must remain backstage until the performance has ended and they are officially dismissed by our staff. Dancers are supervised backstage throughout the recital, and early pickups can create safety and supervision concerns. Early dismissal is only permitted in very limited circumstances and must be approved by studio administration well in advance to recital. Without prior approval, dancers will not be released early. Thank you for helping us keep all dancers safe and accounted for during the recital.

Am I allowed backstage during dress rehearsal or the show?

Only PCDC Staff, Admin, and background checked volunteers are allowed backstage at Dress Rehearsal and Show! This allows for dancer safety and better management backstage. We will have waiting area for parents who need to wait for their child(ren) to finish due to needs or age.
