I decided to opt in to be a beta tester for Chrome Remote Desktop. After installing the beta I opened it and all that happened was a white screen came up with the text "Document not available" in the corner and it just kept reloading like every quarter second. I closed it then tried to go to manage apps on my google account and that wouldn't open and my phones (S22U) screen just started flashing erratically even when I closed out of my Google account. I had to restart my phone and leave the beta program and uninstall the beta. So just a fair warning if you decide to tryout the beta of Remote Desktop, it may break your phone. Oh and the non-beta version is working fine. Edited for horrible spelling

We're testing new features on our preview channel on AppCenter. Want to check it out? Go to Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac and select Download. You don't need to create an account or sign into AppCenter to download the beta client.

If you already have the client, you can check for updates to ensure you have the latest version. In the beta client, select Microsoft Remote Desktop Beta at the top, and then select Check for updates.

A Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) lets you connect to a remote computer on a corporate network from anywhere on the Internet. You can create and manage your gateways in the preferences of the app or while setting up a new desktop connection.

Drive redirection is supported for remote resources, so that you can save files created with a remote application locally to your Mac. The redirected folder is always your home directory displayed as a network drive in the remote session.

By default, the remote session will use the same keyboard locale as the OS you're running the client on. (If your Mac is running an en-us OS, it will be used for the remote sessions as well.) If the OS keyboard locale is not used, check the keyboard setting on the remote PC and change it manually. See the Remote Desktop Client FAQ for more information about keyboards and locales.

When I went in to check out v49 I found a new icon for Remote Display (Beta). Installed it and used the Meta Quest Remote Desktop app (same one from Workrooms) to get a single remote display in the home environment.

The responsiveness of the remote to the player is much improved today over my initial moments from yesterday. Also not getting the whistling sound when changing between tracks/albums that was pretty steady yesterday (not previously mentioned).

As an alternative to the full screen of the album art is there a way to make the setup of the local album and track list I still truly appreciate the default view for the remote screen/Mini-Player screen replacement?

Meta Quest 3 owner here. I"m trying "Remote Display (Beta)" app, able to connect to my computer and see the screen - but - there's no interaction. Is this by design? The only thing which happens if I point a controller at remote display window is some darkening at the bottom and 2 buttons - disconnect and and resolution multiplier (not even sure what this does, nothing seems to change).

Thanks for reaching back! Since the app is still in the beta stage, there's really no telling what direction it could take. If it's meant to be a virtual display for your PC I'd suggest checking if it works with the keyboard and mouse connected to your PC as @Lujho mentioned.

Help developers test beta versions of their apps and App Clips using the TestFlight app. Download TestFlight on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Watch, and iMessage. Apple Vision Pro will already have TestFlight installed.

Each build is available to test for up to 90 days, starting from the day the developer uploads their build. You can see how many days you have left for testing under the app name in TestFlight. TestFlight will notify you each time a new build is available and will include instructions on what you need to test. Alternatively, with TestFlight 3 or later, you can turn on automatic updates to have the latest beta builds install automatically.

When the testing period is over, you'll no longer be able to open the beta build. To install the App Store version of the app, download or purchase the app from the App Store. In-app purchases are free only during beta testing, and any in-app purchases made during testing will not carry over to App Store versions.

Note: To automatically download additional in-app content and assets in the background once a beta app is installed in iOS 16, iPadOS 16, or macOS 13, turn on Additional In-App Content in your App Store settings for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

You can send feedback through the TestFlight app or directly from the beta app or beta App Clip by taking a screenshot, and you can report a crash after it occurs. If you were invited to test an app with a public link, you can choose not to provide your email address or other personal information to the developer. Apple will also receive all feedback you submit and will be able to tie it to your Apple ID.

If your device is running iOS 12.4 or earlier, tap Send Beta Feedback to compose an email to the developer. The feedback email contains detailed information about the beta app and about your iOS device. You can also provide additional information, such as necessary screenshots and steps required to reproduce any issues. Your email address will be visible to the developer when you send email feedback through the TestFlight app even if you were invited through a public link.

When you take a screenshot while testing a beta app or beta App Clip, you can send the screenshot with feedback directly to the developer without leaving the app or App Clip Experience. Developers can opt out of receiving this type of feedback, so this option is only available if the developer has it enabled.

When you test beta apps or beta App Clips with TestFlight, Apple will collect and send crash logs, your personal information such as name and email address, usage information, and any feedback you submit to the developer. Information that is emailed to the developer directly is not shared with Apple. The developer is permitted to use this information only to improve their App and is not permitted to share it with a third party. Apple may use this information to improve the TestFlight app and detect and prevent fraud.

When you send feedback through TestFlight or send crash reports or screenshots from the beta app, the following additional information is shared. This information is collected by Apple and shared with developers. Apple retains the data for one year.

I am blind and I am using the Audirvana remote app on my iPhone or on a M1 Mac to control Audirvana Studio on another older Intel based Mac Book. On my iPhone or the Macs VoiceOver has to be activated as the screen reading software to output the screen content via synthetic speech.

I just completed Hack Reactor's Remote Beta program in their second cohort and the experience was incredible! When we went onsite to present our final projects the only reason people knew we were from the remote program was due to the fact that we were faces they didn't recognize. That alone speaks volumes to me about the quality of the remote program.

Taking an immersive program remotely is definitely different than an onsite experience. Instead of attending lectures in a classroom I watched top-notch pre-recorded lectures. The quality of the lecturers and the lecture content are amazing. I can't remember a lecture that went by where I didn't pick up a little detail or major concept that I hadn't known previously. There were some lectures that were given live, but those were less frequent.

When our entire class would gather we used a video conferencing service called zoom.us and when we were working in smaller groups or pairs we'd use Google Hangouts. It's certainly a different experience using video conferencing software to interact with classmates rather than physically sitting next to each other in the same room, but it becomes second nature extremely quickly. For pair programming remotely we used floobits which allows multiple people to work on the same document at the same time.

One thing that I wasn't expecting from the remote program was to bond with my classmates the same way you would in an onsite program. After all you're working remotely and only see each other in computer monitor screen for the majority of the class, yet by the end of the final project period I knew that I had made long term friends. Even though you're working from all different parts of the world, when you spend that much time working with each other you get to know one another pretty well and I definitely felt a great sense of community. As everyone presented their final projects, I was extremely proud of everything that we had accomplished as a group.

So this won't help me log into a lab machine on my other campus? There are use cases like mine that need the ability to get on the machine without a remote user accepting the connection. I'm more than happy with them somehow flashing warnings and notifications that the machine is being observed/controlled, but if this goes live as is, then it's mostly useless for me.

Seamounts are proposed to be hotspots of deep-sea biodiversity, a pattern potentially arising from increased productivity in a heterogeneous landscape leading to either high species co-existence or species turnover (beta diversity). However, studies on individual seamounts remain rare, hindering our understanding of the underlying causes of local changes in beta diversity. Here, we investigated processes behind beta diversity using ROV video, coupled with oceanographic and quantitative terrain parameters, over a depth gradient in Annan Seamount, Equatorial Atlantic. By applying recently developed beta diversity analyses, we identified ecologically unique sites and distinguished between two beta diversity processes: species replacement and changes in species richness. The total beta diversity was high with an index of 0.92 out of 1 and was dominated by species replacement (68%). Species replacement was affected by depth-related variables, including temperature and water mass in addition to the aspect and local elevation of the seabed. In contrast, changes in species richness component were affected only by the water mass. Water mass, along with substrate also affected differences in species abundance. This study identified, for the first time on seamount megabenthos, the different beta diversity components and drivers, which can contribute towards understanding and protecting regional deep-sea biodiversity. ff782bc1db
