PBTA Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIP UPDATE

IN THE INTEREST OF SIMPLICITY, STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT THE SEPARATE PBTA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION TO APPLY ANY LONGER. JUST FILL OUT THE LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION AND THAT WILL COUNT AS YOUR PBTA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION.

Each year the PBTA and the PBTA Retiree Chapter (PBTARC) award about $20K in scholarships to deserving graduating seniors.  Scholarships are funded by the generous donations of active and retired PBTA members and help our students defray ever-rising college expenses.  Scholarships are awarded each spring at the annual PBTA Scholarship Awards Reception, a wonderful evening celebrating the success of our students. 

Scholarships are awarded in amounts ranging from one time $250 awards to $1000 per year for four year scholarships.  See a list of our awards below.

              • Christa McAuliffe Scholarship ($500 per year for four years--for students pursuing education careers)
