All PBSD schools offer a safe and supportive home for learning,
in which every child gets the resources and opportunities they need and the respect they deserve to explore, grow, and achieve their biggest dreams.
District leaders, staff, parents, and the community proudly work together within this successful, organized, innovative, and stable institution to ensure the well-being and achievement of students — making PBSD the district of choice among the region's families and highest-quality educators.
December 2022: The Pine Bluff School District (PBSD) has completed the strategic plan! This plan will set the course for the district for the next several years. The plan includes five strategies that address expanding learning opportunities for students, creating safer environments, improving school facilities, increasing the number of excellent teachers and leaders, and building trust in the district. Each of the strategies will be implemented over the next five years. The plan will be a key indicator for the Arkansas State Board of Education to determine whether PBSD is ready and able to return to local authority after it completes the five year span of state control on June 30, 2024. You can read it here or download it. For a synopsis of the plan, you can also watch the video below.
November 2022: Pine Bluff School District (PBSD) staff and Community Advisory Committee members have created a special PBSD Strategic Plan Kick-Off video, informing the community about the major elements of the district’s strategic plan, the top five strategies that the district will implement in the next five years, and ways for Pine Bluff businesses, organizations, and community members to provide input and collaborate. Watch the video below to learn more about it!

Through this process, we hope to enable our children to maximize their learning, increase their academic and work-related skills, and develop strong identities as capable and responsible young people that believe they can make a difference in their world and in this community.
Let’s work together to capitalize on our community strengths and prepare our children to thrive. Let’s take the energy we are building in our schools and extend it out into our community to develop economic stability and an abundance of cultural expression and intellectual innovation.
