The PBCCTM is your professional organization. As a professional educator, we know you want to support those organizations that promote the teaching profession and your subject areas.
Your PBCCTM dues are used to help subsidize the following programs and/or activities:
The Annual Middle School Mathematics Tournament, which is held in the Winter/Spring of each year. Refreshments are served and winners receive trophies, ribbons, prizes, and/or cash awards.
The Annual Elementary School Mathematics/Science Fair, which is held in the Spring of each year. Refreshments are served and winners receive ribbons.
The Mathagram, a quarterly newsletter for members of PBCCTM, contains local, state, and national articles of interest to mathematics teachers. Most issues also include ideas and/or worksheets that may be used in the classroom.
The Annual Mathematics Teacher of the Year Recognition Ceremony is held each May, serving food and beverages. Teachers are nominated at the school level in four categories, Elementary, Middle, High, and Postsecondary. Finalists are announced in advance and the winner of each category is named at the Ceremony.
PROMISE Certificates are supplied to each school to be awarded to students who show outstanding interest or improvement in mathematics.
