It was designed to be a Bowser Jr. drop, but for now it's just another way of ending a level. It may receive a new look in future versions...
4 new visual effects have been added to PB to be used in mods, as an extension of shields.png. Shield effects can be used in charms with variables: stareff, shieldeff, fireeff, thundereff, bubbleeff and windeff.
Soon to be replaced by 10, 20 and 50 coins. This mushroom can be placed in monitors and grants 50 coins when collected.
These come in 2 variations - blue and green. Blue + Clocks add 10 seconds to your timer, green - a minute. This item was inspired by 3D Mario + Clocks.
Just like in Classic Sonic titles, Speed Shoes, as well as their evil counterpart - Slug Shoes, modify your speed. Speed Shoes also give you an afterimage effect.
Poker Boll features 2 new exclusive commands:
- nohud - disables the HUD for clean shots,
-speedhoes/iseeawoman/iamspeed - Infinite speed-up effect (can be used with spaces and underscores)
Rather than flashing on and off, this update makes the afterimages actually fade and not make breaks in rendering. This new afterimage effect is not released yet, but its fully functional and will be included with the next release, so stay tuned.
Some stuff may get a coat of fresh paint, planned redesigns include:Â
- Menu green light-up color changing to a shade of red;
- Roster's Match Options may be rearranged, with some shiny new icons for more aesthetic;
- Pause menu pointers will turn into little red gems;
- Title Screen may get some new tweaks.
Luigi's Moveset may be redone;
10, 30, 50 Coins, as stated before, will replace the Gold Mushroom cuz the mush was just a random idea, but can actually make sense that way;
A Bowser Jr. boss that actually works?! ;
A new Hard Mode for those looking for a bit more of a challenge;
Rings will get a new use - instead of limitless hits you'll still lose items, but will be kept alive in basic form, you can also use rings for Super Forms;
Time of day option for levels (?);
Some new assets as Mountain biome lacks those;
New objects: Ice Blocks, P-Doors, Blinking Blocks;
New hazards: Spike Blocks (SMM2), Icicles, Grinders;
New enemies: Amps, Swoops, Outmaways;
World Maps (maybe?);
Save System (if it works i guess?);
(Note that we have no way of predicting if any of these things will appear in vanilla Boll; those features are only planned and not guaranteed nor confirmed to appear in Poker Boll, those are more like ideas than stuff that's sure to be added)
