Common questions
How do I back up my data?
Go to Accounts → ⚙️ Settings → Back up data and save it to Files or Notes, or email it to yourself. Do this now and then, and before switching phones.
How do I restore a backup?
Go to Accounts → ⚙️ Settings → Restore from backup, paste the whole backup text, and tap Restore. This replaces what's currently in the app.
Why am I not getting reminders?
Make sure Bill reminders is on in Settings → Notifications, and that notifications for PayView are allowed in your iPhone's Settings → PayView → Notifications. Use "Send a test notification" to check.
How do I turn Face ID on or off?
Go to Accounts → ⚙️ Settings → Security → Require Face ID.
If I delete the app, is my data gone?
Yes. PayView stores everything only on your phone, so make a backup before deleting it.
Where do the company logos come from?
They come from Brandfetch. If a bill shows the wrong logo, or none, open the bill and type the company's website in the logo field.
Is PayView financial advice?
No. PayView is a tracking tool. Payoff dates and balances are estimates based on what you enter.
