Looking at Classmate's work-
I believe that every lesson I looked at was extremely well thought out. But one thing I would be cautious of is the length. A lesson that is too long can sometimes lead to unfocused people who end up zoning out by the end. Teaching a lesson part by part and checking up on people by making sure everyone understands the concept, while also encouraging people to keep paying attention and not zone out.
Culture of Learning-
The culture of learning I would like to encourage in a classroom setting is teamwork. I was the kid who was too scared to ask for help, and I was too shy around my classmates to interact with them. Being a shy kid is perfectly normal, but being able to work together to solve a problem or being able to ask the person next to you for help is such an important ability to have. Encouraging teamwork means that the classroom will grow into a space where people are willing to allow others to help them to help themselves grow.
Tool for Culture of Learning-
The tool I would use for encouraging teamwork is paper chains. This would start by arranging the classroom in a way that is set up in tables, allowing people to talk and interact with their peers. When a table shows a form of teamwork or encouragement, add a paper link to their table chain. This chain can be hung from the ceiling above the table or along the wall of the classroom. When a chain reaches a certain length or number of links, reward them for their teamwork. A visual of the achievements encourages each table to work together to have the longest chain in the class.
