GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES:
There is a risk in the participation of water slides and aquatic attractions, and such participation may be hazardous regardless of safety measures undertaken by Payson City and Payson Pool staff. All guests using the pools, water slides, and all other attractions accept any and all risks in participating in Payson water park activities. Guests have a duty to exercise good judgement and act responsibly while using pool attractions and facilities. Guests will be expected to obey all pool rules, written and oral. Guests need to recognize that forces created by slides and attractions may cause or aggravate some adverse physical conditions and could injure people who are unable to deal with such forces.
25 yard (6 lane) Lap pool that includes a 1 meter diving board
Slide Tower that has two large slides: A Deep Drop Slide and a Serpentine Slide
A Current Channel including tumble buckets and a bridge with interactive play features
Zero-depth beach Entry Leisure Pool that has a water playground featuring 15 interactive play structures
Shade Structures, Loungers, Tables & Chairs, and state of the art Concessions
Payson Pool has the right to close at any time for any reason without notice.
Slides and Pools may close for rain, lightning, and high winds or any unsafe weather conditions without notice. Rain checks and refunds will not be given during times of unforeseen closures.
A cleansing shower is required before entering the pools.
Per Utah County Health Code, children 3 years and under and all non-potty-trained individuals are required to wear three layers of protection: a swim diaper. plastic diaper cover, and a swimsuit.
Parents are responsible for their children at ALL times at the pool.
Children 8 years and younger must have someone 18 or older with them at all times, and Payson City recommends children 10 and under to be chaperoned by someone 16 or older.
Pictures/Videos are periodically taken of patrons/pool for marketing purposes. Please inform us if you DO NOT wish to be included in pictures/videos at the pool, lack of notification will be interpreted as consent from patrons to be in photos.
Payson City will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items left at the pool.
Management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone.
No Re-Entry: Patrons will be charged again for re-entry into the facility.
General admissions includes non-swimmers and swimmers with no exceptions
Payson City Pool's maximum capacity is 800, as mandated by the Utah County Health Department (including patrons who are in and out of the water). We are obligated to turn away patrons after max capacity is reached.
Patrons are to obey all lifeguard warnings and instructions. Disobedience of rules and/or lifeguards may result in removal from the pool with no refund.
Appropriate swimwear is required (See clothing/accessories).
Guests using profanity, vulgarity, or abusive language will be asked to leave.
No large shade structures, tents, canopies, or large umbrellas.
NO tobacco/vaping/alcohol allowed on the premises, including the grounds and skate park.
Abuse of Payson City property will not be tolerated - this includes damage or misuse of chairs, tables, lockers, or other facility property.
No running, pushing, shoving, or horseplay will be permitted.
No climbing on rocks, railings, slides or non-playing areas.
No eating or drinking allowed in the water or near the pool edge.
Injuries are to be immediately reported to the first aid station for immediate care and documentation.
The following items are prohibited inside the pool:
Animals of any kind except those certified to assist
Chewing gum
BBQ grills, matches, propane or other fire starting material
Skateboards, roller-skates, bicycles or other modes of transportation
Glass containers of any kind
Appropriate swimwear required - no cutoffs or street clothes, including underwear, allowed when swimming.
No thong swimsuits allowed.
Suits with metal parts prohibited on any slide, including rivets and exposed zippers.
Suits must be hemmed with no frayed edges exposed on the outside.
Clothing with inappropriate language and/or pictures prohibited in the pool.
Eye, head, and footwear may NOT be worn on the slides or diving board.
Minimal jewelry such as wedding rings, watches, and neck chains are permitted. Payson City will not be responsible for any lost items.
Swim Diapers, plastic pants, and swim suits are required for children 3 and under and all non-potty-trained individuals.
According to Pool Rule R392-302-29(11a), any child under three years old, any child not toilet trained, or anyone who lacks control of defecation is required to wear a water-resistant swim diaper and waterproof swimwear that has waist and leg openings fitted such that they are in contact with the waist and leg around the entire circumference.

Lifejackets may be used if they are US Coast Guard approved and lifejackets may be borrowed by request. All borrowed lifejackets must be checked out and returned before the end of the day.
Tubes and floaties must be 48" or less in diameter to enter the facility.
Tubes larger than 48", inflatable rafts, toys, mermaid tails, and boogie boards are NOT allowed in any pool.
Any items that may hinder the lifeguards visibility or the swimmers ability are not allowed and may be asked to be removed.
Small toys and floaties are permitted as long as they do not cause problems for other guests or hinder lifeguards' view of the pool.
All floatation devices being used in the lap pool must stay in the shallow end, including swimmers in lifejackets.

Locks may be brought from home or purchased from the front desk
Lockers are day use only and items will be removed if left overnight (locks will be cut).
Payson City will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items. If a locker key/combo is lost, there will be a fee to have the lock cut, and a description of the items in the locker must be given before the locker can be opened.
Cell phone use, including the use of cameras, in any locker room or changing area is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the facility.
Guest must be 48' tall to ride the two larger slides
Children cannot be caught at the bottom of the slides; Lifeguards will assist if needed
Guests should be prepared for strong forces in all directions from turbulent currents
There is a heightened risk of head, neck, and back injury when riding any water slide
Guests are to wait for lifeguard's signal before entering and going down side
Guests are required to remain siting feet first while going down all slides
Trains, chains, spinning, slowing, and stopping are prohibited
Guests must exit the catch pool run-outs immediately and are prohibited from blocking the slides
Eyeglasses, sunglass, hats, lifejackets and goggles are NOT allowed to be worn down the slides
Spitting, dropping. or throwing objects from the tower is strictly prohibited and is grounds for removal without refund.
The Following May NOT Ride the Water Slides:
Guest who do not meet the 48 inch height requirement
Women who are pregnant (Please notify a lifeguard and do not ride the slides)
Guests with Heart Conditions and Guests with neck and back problems
Guests subject to motion sickness and/or vertigo
Guests whose health and physical condition will be affected by riding the slides
Guests with a cast or brace
Guest with prosthetic limbs may ride if a waiver is signed prior to swimming
*(All Guests should immediately report any injuries to the First Aid Station) *
Children 8 and under must be accompanied by a guest 18 or older at all times
Any person who is not capable of swimming independently in the deep end should not
use the diving board and should swim only in the shallow end.
One person on the diving board at a time and only one bounce on the diving board
No gainers, double flips, handstands, cartwheels or other unsafe movements
No life jackets or other flotation devices allowed off the diving board
No catching or assisting other people to jump off the diving board
Swimming in the diving area and hanging on lane lines are prohibited
No running, pushing, shoving, or horseplay permitted
No climbing on rocks, railings, or non-playing areas
No eating or drinking allowed in the water or near the pool's edge

Only one child on any play structure slide at a time
Chains, trains and double riders are prohibited
Children must go feet first down slides to help prevent accidents and injuries
No climbing up slides, railings, or other non-climbing structures
Guests taller than 48" are not permitted on the play structure or slides unless they are assisting a child
No running, pushing, shoving, or horseplay permitted
Small tubes, balls, and toys may be used in the leisure pool only. Any items that may hinder the lifeguards visibility or the swimmers ability are not allowed and may be asked to be removed.
Children 8 and under must be accompanied by a guest 18 or older at all times
Large flotation devices and tubes are NOT allowed while in the current channel and may be asked to be removed
Guests need to enter and exit from the stairs only - Please don't sit on stairs
Do not hang on grating, bridges, sides, and other features
Keep moving with current and not against it
No diving, horseplay, or "dead man" floating
No chains or traffic jams
If lightning is seen or thunder is heard within a 7 mile radius the following will occur:
Patrons will be removed from water and asked to stay at least 6 feet from the water. Showers and open areas will be cleared.
2 . A 30 minute timer will be kept at the start of lightning watch and will restart every time lightning is spotted within a 7 mile radius.
3. Patrons may reenter the pool 30 minutes after the last signs of lightning have passed and staff deem it safe to return.
4. If inclement weather persists or worsens, management may choose to close the facility.
*PLEASE NOTE: No refunds will be given for inclement weather. It is the duty of the Guest to know what weather to expect during their visit.
Children under the age of 3 are required to wear plastic pants and a swim diaper. This helps prevent accidents and the spread of infectious diseases.
If a fecal release / throw up happens in the water the following will take place:
1. Guests will be removed from the water
3. Supervisors will remove any contaminants, test water chemistry, and let the pool circulate for at least 30 minutes to help rid the water of any particulates.
4. Guests will be allowed to reenter the pool when management has deemed it safe to do so.
*PLEASE NOTE: No refunds will be given for unforeseen circumstances or accidents in the pool.
