I spent the day at the Mason Dixon UKC Dog Club's all breed dog show this passed Sunday. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had a blast while I was there, and met many wonderful new friends! I can't wait until the next one!

Yesterday my Border Collie, Parker, and I attended the Ashland Terrace Dog Show at the Ashland Terrace Retirement Home. This was a small competition and demonstration put on as entertainment for the beautiful elderly ladies that live there. Pet Wants Lex supplied the prizes, and dogs presented their best selves and tricks for a chance to win. Parker came to meet others and enrich some lives with tricks and getting scratches. I met some wonderful ladies and wonderful other dogs. We'll definitely be going back next year!

I consider myself lucky in that I almost always find animals everywhere I go. We rented a cabin in Gatlinburg, and while I was sitting on the porch missing my own dogs, this beautiful family of dogs wandered into our yard. They were some of the sweetest dogs I've ever met, and especially loved the dog treats I had with me. They were definitely the highlight of my weekend, and it was incredibly difficult not to come home with the silvery-brindle guy!
