1. Introduction

PawsMP3 ("the Application") is a media player application provided by VIRGILIO G. MAUN ("Service Provider") as a Free service. The Application is designed with a "local-first" philosophy, prioritizing user privacy by processing and indexing media files directly on your device. While your media content remains private and local, the Application utilizes specific cloud-based services for technical maintenance, AI-powered assistance, and support as detailed in this policy.

2. Information Collection and Use

We operate on a principle of data minimization; the Application does not require a user account for core functionality.

A. Voluntary Information

When utilizing "Feedback" or "Support" features, you may voluntarily provide your name, email address, and message content. This data is stored securely in our database (Firebase Firestore) to facilitate our response and improve the service.

B. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features

The Application includes an AI Agent powered by Google Gemini. To provide song lyrics and agent features, the app may send song titles and artist names to Google Gemini AI. No personal user data or audio files are transmitted to the AI service.

· API Keys: To use AI features, you may provide your own Google Gemini API key. This key is stored strictly on your device's local storage (SharedPreferences). The Service Provider does not have access to your key.

· Contextual Data: When you interact with the AI Agent, the Application sends your message and limited app context (such as your current playlist names and recently played song titles) to Google Gemini to fulfill your commands.

· Third-Party Processing: Your text prompts are processed by Google. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details on their AI data handling.

C. Automatic Data Collection (Telemetry)

To ensure technical stability, the Application utilizes Google/Firebase SDKs to collect pseudonymized technical data:

· Device Technical Information: Model, manufacturer, and OS version.

· Performance Metrics: Loading times, latency, and framerate.

· Crash Reports: Stack traces sent via Firebase Crashlytics to assist in bug resolution.

· Usage Statistics: De-identified data on feature usage via Google Analytics.

3. Media and Storage Access

The Application requires access to your device's storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, or READ_MEDIA_AUDIO) to scan, organize, edit metadata, and play your music files.

· Local Processing: Your music files are scanned and indexed strictly on your device; we never upload your music files to our servers.

· Local Data Storage: The Application may create or modify small text files (.lrc) in your music folders to store lyrics, user preferences, and AI configurations are stored in a local SQLite database (Room) and via SharedPreferences on your device.These files stay on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

The Application integrates with the following providers:

· Google Play Services

· Firebase (Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics)

· Google Gemini AI (Generative AI SDK)

· Facebook Link: We provide a link to our Facebook page, but we do not use the Facebook SDK to collect data from your device.

5. Intellectual Property & Lyrics Disclaimer

The Application provides a feature to retrieve and display lyrics via AI.

· Ownership: All song lyrics retrieved through the AI Agent are the intellectual property of their respective songwriters and publishers.

· Intended Use: Lyrics are provided for personal, non-commercial, and educational use only.

· Liability: PawsMP3 does not claim ownership of lyrics and is not responsible for the accuracy or copyright compliance of content generated by the third-party AI provider.

6. Your Data Rights

· Access and Deletion: You may request access to or deletion of your feedback data by contacting us at rogivmaun@gmail.com.

· App Data Management: You can purge all local databases, saved API keys, and preferences by clearing the Application's cache and storage in your Android device settings.

· Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK: They can manage or withdraw their advertising consent at any time via the Privacy Settings option within the app's Settings menu.

7. Advertising and Monetization (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the Application. To provide a better user experience and support the development of this free service, we utilize both Banner and Interstitial (full-screen) advertisements.

A. Data Collection by Third Parties Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) to serve ads based on your usage of this and other applications. These identifiers are used to:

· Show you personalized advertisements that are more relevant to your interests.

· Limit the number of times you see the same advertisement.

· Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

B. Your Choices and Controls You have control over how your data is used for advertising:

· Device Settings: You can opt-out of interest-based advertising or reset your advertising identifier by going to your Android device's Settings > Google > Ads.

· Transparency: PawsMP3 does not store or have access to the advertising identifiers used by Google.

8. Children's Privacy

PawsMP3 is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in this age group.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Application following the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
