Meet the Person Behind Paws with Purpose
Hi! I’m the person behind Paws with Purpose.
I’ve always loved animals, especially dogs and cats. There’s something about being around animals that genuinely makes me happy. I love playing with them, taking them outside, throwing a ball, going for walks, teaching them new things, and simply getting to know their personalities.
Animals have always been something I enjoy spending time with, and I wanted to create something that combines that love with something meaningful.
That’s where Paws with Purpose came from.
I created Paws with Purpose because I realized our community could use more accessible, purposeful dog training and dog-walking services. But I also wanted to create something where people could enjoy the happiness that animals can bring.
I believe dogs deserve more than just being told what not to do. They deserve to be understood, taught, exercised, played with, and given opportunities to succeed.
And I believe their people deserve support, too.
Whether your dog needs help learning basic obedience, needs more exercise, is working toward service-dog goals, or simply needs someone to spend some purposeful time with them, I’m here to help.
My goal is to help you and your dog build a better relationship while helping your dog become the best version of themselves that they can be.
Before dogs became such a huge part of my life, dance was a big part of it, too.
I danced for years, and it was something I truly loved. Dance taught me a lot about patience, practice, consistency, and putting in the work to improve — lessons that I carry with me into dog training.
I still love being active, getting outside, and having fun. And honestly, one of my favorite things is just running around and playing with dogs.
I love seeing a dog get excited about a toy.
I love watching them figure something out.
I love those little moments when something finally clicks.
And I love seeing the relationship between a dog and their person grow stronger.
That's the kind of work I want Paws with Purpose to be about.
And then there's Max.
Max is the dog behind Paws with Purpose — and very much the face of the brand.
He is a sweet, loving, playful, smart little boy who loves to run around like a complete maniac when he gets the chance.
He's also... well, sometimes a little crazy and a little ornery. 😂
But that's part of what makes Max, Max.
He's got a huge personality, and I love him for it.
I have trained Max myself, and working with him has been a huge part of my own experience with dog training. We've learned together, practiced together, made mistakes, worked through challenges, and celebrated the things we figured out along the way.
Max isn't just a dog that appears on my website.
He's part of the reason Paws with Purpose exists.
Training Max showed me just how rewarding it can be to work with a dog and build something together.
It also showed me that training isn't about creating a perfect robot dog.
Dogs are individuals.
They have different personalities, different strengths, different challenges, and different things that motivate them.
Max has helped me understand that firsthand.
He's taught me to be patient, consistent, pay attention to the individual dog in front of me, and keep learning.
And that's something I want to carry into my work with every dog I meet.
