If you want a rugged, all-in-one solution to secure your bicycle directly to a vehicle roof rack or truck bed for transport, choose Pawfly Bike Fork Mount; if you need modular cargo capacity to carry small bags and tools alongside your bike frame while riding, choose splash n color SplashNColor Bike Fork.
• Pawfly Bike Fork Mount: Its greatest strength is the comprehensive compatibility with 4 different axle standards (QR and thru-axle) and robust aluminum construction designed to hold bikes steady on rough roads; however, it is strictly a transport accessory for vehicles, not for use while cycling.
• splash n color SplashNColor Bike Fork: Its biggest advantage is the ability to expand carrying capacity with a rail-based system that keeps gear accessible during rides without cluttering handlebars or rear racks; its trade-off is that it requires a separate mounting rail and does not include hardware, making installation more complex for beginners.
• The Pawfly pick is for the cyclist who needs to move their bike from point A to point B safely in a work truck or van.
• The splash n color pick is for the rider planning long tours or commutes who needs extra storage space without compromising their bike's balance.
This unit is built specifically for the logistics of moving bicycles rather than the act of riding them. The Pawfly Bike Fork Mount Block is engineered as a direct interface between a bicycle's front fork and a vehicle's roof rack, truck bed, or trailer. It solves the most common pain point for bike owners who drive: how to keep the bike stable during transit without scratching the frame or damaging the wheel. The design features a thickened base made from professional-grade aluminum alloy, which suggests a high tolerance for heavy loads and harsh weather conditions encountered on the highway.
What sets this mount apart immediately is its versatility regarding axle types. Modern bicycles vary wildly, with some using traditional quick-release skewers and others relying on heavier-duty thru-axles. This block comes with four adapter pairs, allowing it to support 5x100mm quick-release, 12x100mm, 15x100mm, and 15x110mm thru-axle standards. This broad compatibility means one purchase can likely cover multiple bikes in a household, whether they are road bikes, mountain bikes, or gravel rigs. The inclusion of a quick-release thru-axle component simplifies the process of locking the bike into the mount securely.

Inside the axle sleeve, there are built-in rubber rings paired with reinforced adapters. These components work together to grip the fork securely, eliminating movement and rattling even when driving over bumpy roads. If you are someone who frequently transports bikes for weekend races, cross-country adventures, or daily commuting via a work truck, this stability is non-negotiable. The package includes a complete hardware kit with M6 screws, M8 bolts, T-nuts, and hex wrenches, ensuring you have everything needed to install it on your vehicle's rack system. However, potential buyers must be aware that this is a vehicle-mounted tool. It transforms any SUV, truck, van, or trailer into a dedicated bike transporter, but it offers zero utility once the bike is parked and you are ready to ride.
In stark contrast to the transport-focused Pawfly, the SplashNColor Bike Fork Mount is designed to enhance the riding experience itself. This cargo cage is intended to sit on the bicycle's fork while you are actually pedaling. When your handlebar bag is full and your rear rack is already loaded with gear, this mount provides a third option for storing compact bags and riding equipment. It effectively creates a new carrying point alongside the fork, leaving your other storage areas available for the rest of your load on a weekend tour, an overnight bikepacking route, or a ride that demands extra gear.
The core functionality relies on a rail-based connection system. The cage connects to a matching mounting rail that fits standard bicycle bottle cage mounts. It sits between the carrier and the bicycle, utilizing a shaped rear interface for attachment. This modular approach allows riders to switch accessories in seconds as plans change from a short recreational ride to a gear-carrying tour. You can swap out the cargo cage for another accessory instantly, giving you flexibility in how you organize your setup.
This product is ideal for the cyclist who values accessibility. When you pull over for a tool on a gravel ride or reach your destination after a commute, having equipment stored right next to the fork makes it easy to grab what you need without dismounting or reaching around a rear rack. It gives you a clear place to return your gear before heading down the road again. However, this system comes with significant caveats. The item sold is the plastic part only; no hardware is included. You must plan your setup around the matching rail and ensure you have the necessary components to attach the rail to your bike's bottle cage mounts first.

For the vast majority of buyers looking to transport a bike in a work truck, I would unequivocally choose the Pawfly Bike Fork Mount. The splash n color model is a clever accessory for expanding ride capacity, but it requires a pre-existing rail system and serves a completely different purpose. Unless you are already deep into a modular rail setup and need more storage while riding, the Pawfly is the essential tool for getting your bike from home to the trailhead without damage.
It supports four specific standards: 5x100mm quick-release, 12x100mm, 15x100mm, and 15x110mm thru-axles, covering most modern bicycles.
