Privacy Policy for PawDossier

PawDossier respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PawDossier collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the PawDossier mobile app.
PawDossier is designed to help pet owners organize pet profiles, vaccinations, medications, health records, reminders, documents, emergency information, and pet health summaries.
PawDossier is not a veterinary medical service and does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care.
1. Information You May Add to PawDossier
When you use PawDossier, you may choose to add information such as:
- Pet names
- Pet photos
- Breed, age, weight, and general pet details
- Vaccination records
- Medication records
- Medical notes
- Veterinary visits
- Documents, receipts, insurance records, and scanned files
- Emergency contacts
- Veterinarian information
- Reminder information
- Notes or questions entered into the AI Assistant, if enabled
You control what information you add to the app.
2. How Your Information Is Used
PawDossier uses your information to provide app features, including:
- Displaying pet profiles
- Tracking vaccinations and medications
- Creating reminders and notifications
- Generating health summaries
- Creating emergency profiles and QR codes
- Exporting pet health passport PDFs
- Searching scanned documents
- Showing widgets and Live Activities
- Providing AI-assisted pet-care organization features, if enabled
PawDossier does not sell your personal information.
3. Data Storage
PawDossier stores app data locally on your device and may use Apple services such as iCloud or CloudKit if enabled by the app or your device settings.
Data stored through Apple services is handled according to Apple’s privacy and iCloud policies.
If you delete PawDossier from your device, locally stored data may be removed. Some synced data may remain in iCloud depending on your device and iCloud settings.
4. Documents and Scanned Files
If you scan or upload pet documents, PawDossier may process those documents to make them easier to organize and search.
This may include extracting text from scanned files using on-device tools when available.
You are responsible for ensuring that any documents you add belong to you or that you have permission to store them.
5. AI Assistant
PawDossier may include an AI Assistant feature to help users organize pet information, summarize records, suggest questions to ask a veterinarian, and provide general educational pet-care guidance.
The AI Assistant does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatment, replace a veterinarian, or provide emergency medical advice.
If the AI Assistant is connected to an external AI service or secure proxy server, the text you submit to the AI Assistant may be sent to that service to generate a response.
Do not enter sensitive information into the AI Assistant unless you are comfortable with that information being processed for the purpose of generating a response.
PawDossier does not place private AI provider API keys directly inside the app.
6. Notifications, Widgets, and Live Activities
PawDossier may use notifications, widgets, and Live Activities to show reminders, medication countdowns, vaccination alerts, appointment information, or health summaries.
You can control notification permissions through your device settings.
7. Premium Features and Purchases
PawDossier may offer premium features through Apple In-App Purchase.
Purchases, subscriptions, billing, refunds, and payment information are handled by Apple. PawDossier does not directly collect or store your payment card information.
8. Data Sharing
PawDossier does not sell your data.
PawDossier may share limited information only when needed to provide app features, such as:
- Apple services for iCloud, App Store purchases, notifications, widgets, and system features
- A secure AI proxy or AI provider if you use AI Assistant features
- Services required to operate, improve, or support the app
PawDossier may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or security of users or the app.
9. Children’s Privacy
PawDossier is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through PawDossier, please contact us so we can help remove it.
10. Veterinary and Medical Disclaimer
PawDossier is for pet record organization and educational support only.
PawDossier does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, or medical advice.
Always contact a licensed veterinarian for medical concerns, symptoms, medication decisions, treatment decisions, or emergencies.
If your pet may be experiencing an emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately.
11. Data Deletion
You can delete pets, records, documents, reminders, and other information inside the PawDossier app.
You may also delete the app from your device.

12. Security
PawDossier uses reasonable measures to help protect your information. However, no app, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Apple ID, and iCloud account.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be updated.
Continued use of PawDossier after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
