PawDen — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
PawDen is a personal pet health and care organizer. It is built to be local-first: your pets' information lives on your device, and the app is designed so that we — the people who make PawDen — never see it.
The short version: PawDen stores your data on your phone. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers, and we never sell your data. What you put in stays with you unless you choose to export or share it.
This policy explains what PawDen stores, the few technical connections the app makes, and the control you have. It applies to the PawDen mobile app, published by Rinadia ("we", "us").
1. Information stored on your device
When you use PawDen, the app saves what you enter into private storage on your device. This can include:
Pet profiles — name, species, breed, birthday, sex, microchip number, weight, and a photo you choose.
Health & care logs — medications, food, weight, symptoms, notes, and custom tags.
Reminders — the schedules you set for medications, vet visits, and routines.
Documents — vet records, receipts, or images you attach.
App settings — preferences like units and appearance.
This information is stored only on your device. We cannot access it, and it is not uploaded to us or to any server during normal use.
2. Information we do not collect
No account, sign-up, name, or email is required to use the app.
No analytics, usage tracking, advertising, or third-party trackers.
No location collection.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or pet data with anyone.
3. Limited technical connections
A few standard connections may occur. None of them transmit your pet or health data:
App updates — the app may check our update provider (Expo) for a newer version, exchanging only technical details like app version and device platform.
Reminders — notifications are scheduled and shown by your device's own Android system; their content stays on your device.
Subscriptions (only if you buy one) — if you choose to subscribe to a paid plan, the purchase is processed by Google Play and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) under their own privacy policies. We receive only your subscription status, not your payment details.
4. Permissions the app asks for
Notifications — to show your reminders.
Alarms & reminders (exact alarm) — so a reminder fires at the exact time you set, even in battery-saving mode.
Photos / media — only when you choose to add a pet portrait or attach a document. PawDen accesses only the item you pick.
Run at startup / keep awake — so your scheduled reminders still fire after your phone restarts.
5. Sharing and exporting — you're in control
PawDen never shares your data automatically. Its export features let you move your own data — the vet-ready PDF export and data backup create a file that you then choose to save or share (for example, emailing it to your vet). Once you send that file somewhere, it's handled by wherever you send it. Exported backup files are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere safe.
6. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you remove it.
You can delete individual pets, logs, reminders, or documents inside the app.
Uninstalling PawDen removes the app's on-device data. Any backups you exported remain wherever you saved them, and are yours to delete.
7. Children's privacy
PawDen is intended for adults managing their pets' care and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Security
Your data is kept in the app's private storage on your device. No system is perfectly secure, so we recommend protecting your device with a screen lock and safeguarding any backups you export.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page.
